Hi, everyone!

Let's begin with the good news: the chapter 115 of The odds were never in my favour, Fifth Task, has been sent to my beta. As such, you can now enjoy it here.

I hope everyone will enjoy the Broom Race of the Tournament...

For the bad news, it seems ff.net is once again experiencing problem this morning. I have been unable to upload anything by the document manager (this is the way that I usually use to communicate with some of my betas). First the alerts are no more, then that...the website is really falling apart, one thing at a time.

I hope it is going to be corrected, and fortunately, I had prepared for alternatives (I am now able to contact all my betas via other methods) but this doesn't prepare a glorious for ff.net, alas.

Sigh.

Anyway, the writing of The odds is now officially over for this month. I am now going to begin preparing for the glorious and triumphant plan of the King of the Pirates, I mean Tyrant Perseus Jackson, Lord and Master of the Suicide Squad, Bane of Sane Plans and Safe Strategies.

There is a Clash of Titans coming on the horizon...flee you fools!

Another good chapter bites the proverbial dust and I hope to see the reactions of the tiny dragons slightly ancient honorary Grandma (Morgaine by dint of hiding those eggs) and knight disney princess, because that should be pretty interesting to watch. Krum winning is good and Ambre de Courtois seems to have really bad luck, with her dropping out in each and every task (except the fourth, which went FUBAR and was aborted). does she have suspicions about being the designated chew toy for the organizers? if not, why not? and that brings me to the next chapter of percy's story. Will Annabeth join the forming Monstergirl group around Perseus or will anyone find a different way to free Medusa from her curses than taking and shunting it onto Annabeth during said battle? Will Nyx get her own halfgod champion? And who would it be? when will perseus realize that bella medina has romantic feelings for him (what else would "I am the reward, should you impress him sufficiently." mean?) and didn't betray him, but rather ensured his and his dear companions continued survival in the oracle master games? Will we find out if the Sire of Drakons, the betrayed guardian and discordant voice of the depths was already namedropped much earlier in the story or will I be surprised that he isn't who I thought he was? questions over questions and i have the feeling most of them won't be answered for quite a while.

Okay not going to answer all the questions, but...Ambre de Courtois is not the chew toy of the Tournament. In general, the chew toys are all those who died or stayed near 0 point. The Tasks are difficult, you know...

Killer chapter as always. Montague has finally realized how lucky he is, is on his fourth second chance or something. Quick question? Will Alexandra’s version of the Lord of the Rings include Tom Bombadil?
