Here is an update (and not a teaser) for what is to become the long chapter of 10-3 (since I am already at 12000 words, this ins't exactly a hard prediction to make).

Let Mandragora burn...

thx for the words as always think its the first time a magos will thank the orks for arriving on the battlefield :D

Antony, just when did you start to write to get 12k already? Otherwise - super! Stormlord is showing that he is not 'living' legend for nothing. Wonder, how will he react upon seeing Scarabs change allegiance... Corax is still doing Corax things! And Word Bearers are dying in toilets! President Putin approuves: "Найдем в туалете, так и в сортире их замочим!" The fact that the killing was done by scaven is somewhat less good, but you can be too picky. And I miss PoV of mister Dust-Maker, while he see Golden Crown, where he though being in security burn...

Antony444

You're welcome...thank, thank, you really expect a proud Archmagos of the Mechanicus to thank some heretekal xenos? What a strange idea...

Antony444

I made the plans for the chapter Friday and Saturday. The real writing began on Sunday with Magnus' prologue. As for other POVs which haven't shown, well they will come, it's just the beginning...but the fact the Dust-Maker hasn't tried to intervene in the fighting is an answer by itself...

he power of the Aethergold Crystal you gave me was a massive boon two => too Thanks for writing!

While I was reading your thought for the day I had a thought I wanted to share. If faith grows from the barrel of the gun, does that mean Vault Hunters are all Saints? Thanks for the chapter!

Gabriel Meadow

You are a machine, Antony! And it is clear that Magnus has his own plans and is very clear-thinking. He's not wrong about the issues with the Imperium - if Taylor can't cement the changes she's already making throughout the Imperium, they won't last. All the same, Lorgar is so screwed. And incidentally, so is Xerxes Vandire.

12,000 words already and this is only a teaser you absolute madman! Remind me which Chaos God did you sell your soul to to be able to write so much? Anyway thanks for the update!

In fact, Magnus sounds way too rational for someone who hasn't destroyed Fenris and captured Leman Russ five thousand years later. Which with his power, resources and influence plus a rational mind seems implausible.

I got to say it seems like Corax is having a fun time with his hunting he knows how to live make sure you find something you like doing and you will never work a day in your life.

Antony444

Thanks for the notice, everything will be corrected...err...sooner or later.

Antony444

If that was the case, there would be far more Saints in the Imperium (grin)...

Antony444

How dare you heretic? My faith in the God-Emperor is enough to sustent me for the next ten thousand years! Glory to Him on Terra, Ave Imperator!

Antony444

To be fair to him, there isn't much to do during this travel save screwing with the minds of the Word Bearers and the other Traitors. One might as well take some enjoyement from his deeds along the way...

Michael Zalesny

May i simply say i like how the Vandires aren't ALL incompetent, and that they value Family, if nothing else. But I can almost FEEL the Death flags hanging over Zenobia and Nicopheus, because they seem to be those with which Xerxes can release his rage discreetly, especially Nico. If he dies...Xerxes might just go off the deep end.

Aconitum

Thats da red paint... Only the orcs can say that and actually be right ...

Antony444

No, they aren't. In fact, when Xerxes can gather enough of his wits to be cold, ruthless, and rational, he's a very dangerous politician. The problem is often that there is a lot of domains where he's completely outside his realm of competence... But yeah, the fact the Vandires close rank whenever they're threatened, tends to make everyone judge them by their lowest denominator...and of course the targets are assigned in function of that.

Antony444

Yep. In a way, the Orks are artistic xenos tech-Priests...though I don't avise saying it out loud near any servant of the Machine-God.

It's interesting to see the discrepancy between how the humans and the necrons see the strategic situation at the Crown.
