Okay here is a longer update on Extermination 8-4. Needless to say, it isn't getting more peaceful at Commorragh.

I think I have reached half-way to the chapter with 15000 words, though I will remain prudent, not knowing if certain POVs will not escape me and generate paragraph-monsters. I hope to have it finished by the 10th of May...maybe.

Enjoy!

When Rakarth got ganked the Temporal Backlash from that must be Will be Exquisitely unpleasant for Slannesh.

I really like the casual conversation between Taylor and Lelith in the middle of the battle. The deal they made was also great, if only for how everyone else is going to react to Lelith coming over for a visit.

Anonymous

nice update thx for the words will be interesting how weaver with sell the arena idea to the people

Anonymous

"Build me an arena and I'll kill daemon-Eldar-Fabius Bile for you." Well, at least she has her priorities straight xD

Boris Michenski

Well, an Arena against a Sub-Sector, if Taylor manage to convince Administratum that "60 millions years old Eldar assured me, that even Demon Prince won't survive her attack" is good enough proof. Not bad as a deal. I'd say these two have gone little too fast from intending to fight each other to fighting together and making long termes deals. On the other hand in story it was three hours of non-stop battle...

philip

Very interesting seeing from the perspective of one of Taylor Dawn breaker guards. That was a unique Pov... Hope you could do one for Kratos.. XD

Confused

So good can't wait for the full release!

After that teaser I suddenly wan't to see a shounen tournament arc in the arena Taylor's going to commission. Anyone else with me on this?

Dale

Considering the sheer raw carnage Taylor is surviving in, I figure the Imperium in general is NOT going to quibble. Granted, Taylor's got a Swarm the likes of which only the Mad might once have dreamed of; that said she's still got to direct them. And Queen of Blades likely is doing this for more than shits and giggles, as this allows her to 'keep tabs' on Taylor. But between the two of them, I dare say both QoB and Weaver have made enemies of a serious chunk of the Warp Gods (though they're a BIT smaller now).

Albino87

The recording of this fight is going to be forced to watch for any Inquisitor, administratum officials or any else with high enough ranking to protest to the building of the arena and its commendation so the Queen of Blades can get people to see here fight.

Antony444

Oh absolutely. It was not an extremely important part of itself, but the last time Slaanesh lost daemon-princes in this manner was because the Emperor was administrating the spanking...so early M31.

Antony444

Well it's not like Taylor can't do a lot of things at once, including speaking and fighting. As for Lelith, she's so far above Taylor it's not exactly a challenge...

Antony444

You're welcome. As for the arena, well it's likely to be multi-purpose when the Queen of Blades is not close. Sports game, music concerts, etc...

Antony444

It's true that if Taylor manages to cash in the reward, paying for the construction of the arena won't be a problem.

Antony444

Oh the Ruinous Powers are quite furious now...well, Tzeentch and Slaanesh are where Taylor is concerned. Nurgle is not really impacted by it (and may even applaude the use of insects as fighters) though of course he may be very pissed by the medical improvements Taylor pushes everywhere. As for Khorne, well he is absolutely delighted by the carnage...

Guilherme Bezerra

Another day in Commorragh another on going Apocalypse. Very nice update with the POV for Lelith really showing how much she is enjoying the whole thing. Plus another acomplished major objective thought now I wonder if objective J is still attainable ? And is the Masque of Frozen Stars going to show up on the battlefield or are they stricly working behind the scenes ? Lastly I really want to see an interlude with Lelith going to one of the craftworlds to promote the opening of her new arena, and just for shits and giggles stating that the new Eldar Empress is blessing this enterprise.

Love the characterization of Aenaria, its perfect

primus

I have to wonder who the Queen of Blades is going to see as worthy of fighting her in the arena, and how she's going to get them to show up. That's a problem for future Lelith, though.

Boris Michenski

Well, there is Taylor's Swarm to fight. In fact, I suspect whole Galaxy will come to see such contest. Then there always some Leet's creations... even if such fight would be more likly happen on some abandoned Space Station or Asteroid - just in case.

Guisarme

Loved the chapter so far! Also I follow you on Alt History and just wanted to state that if reading the thread hurts your writers health, I don't think anyone would really begrudge(or dwarven grudge) you stopping. Just in case you felt an obligation, your offering your story for free and it's book quality or higher!

Brett Tamahori

Well I'm getting to like Aenaria, which wasn't a thing I thought would happen, she's weirdly delightful in her own way, and the first of Weaver's Endbringer that is willing to talk. I expect anyone that watches records of the fight will understand why Weaver's policy will be 'If you really want to try and claim the bounty, you're on your own and please fill in this will first'. I'm not sure she'll stop anyone from _trying_, assuming they don't do it in way that might damage her stuff or the Arena, because Aenaria is likley to react to any attempts to claim the bounty on her with amusement at worst, more likely she'll just kill them on reflex and probably not remember it happened a few seconds later. Thankfully I don't think Aenaria is enough of a troll to try and claim the rewards on Rakarth, especially the Sub-Sector Overlordship. Also she was working on behalf of Weaver when she did it, though I'm sure some lawyers could have a confusing time with it. I have to wonder if a Craftworld with more common sense than most, at least once Biel-Tan suffers a bad case of ultradeath, might seriously consider recognizing their new Empress and trying to cut some kind of deal. I mean it's unlikely, but there are a lot of Eldar, get enough of that tiny percentage that can think past their cultural blinders in one place and you might get some weird effects. Malan'tai and, thanks to Malys's plans, Ulthwé are going to have people willing to explain in detail why Weaver is scary. I have no idea how Taylor would react to that. It's also funny that their best chance of even getting to open communication without getting killed before they can speak is to go via Lelith Hesperax or Trazyn, and I'm not sure which of those options is less dangerous. This really does show just how terrible a situation the Craftworlds have gotten themselves into. I'm also not sure what they could offer that would make their continued existence at anything above Exodite level worth it to Lady Weaver, she's not going to trust Farsearers (as is right and proper), and she doesn't lack for excessive amounts of firepower under her control already, unless for whatever reason she feels like throwing Wrathknights at people that annoy her is funny. So I see Frozen Stars is the Harlequin answer to Biel-Tan, who as always can be relied on the do the most stupid thing in any given situation, and indeed have the supernatural ability to not just come up with the most stupid option you could possibly consider for any given situation, but in fact come up with something _far more stupid_ than you could have possibly considered they might think of. I am so looking forward to the rest of this, it's turning into such a complex mess.

Michael Zalesny

Is there a name already chosen for this Grand Arena? And i get the impression taylor will just tell the mechanicus, dragon and maybe leet to make it the most modular and deadly arena ever devised

Kioras

It appears that Weaver has by now passed the Queen of Blades first test of basic skill and second test of character. Taylor has an extreme dislike of Chaos. Weaver also understands how to actually politely ask someone to do something and it is an exchange of goods. Weaver also served as the ultimate way for the Queen of Blades to tweak and troll those fools who led to the collapse of the Eldar Empire. Urien Rakarth is also dead, which wipes out a whole lot of ways for the Chaos Eldar to build a new Dark Eldar servant race. Things have gotten worse for the Pink Abomination as the sharks of the Warp have sensed major weakness. From the sounds of the fighting the Emperor's Children and other Pink Chaos Space Marines will be lucky at the end to muster a full Chapter in strength due to the chaos. The Eldar of Biel-Tan are so mono-focused on Weaver they never even considered the possibility that they were manipulated to trigger the Abyss of Dreams. With the mess of the battle there is a good chance the only one the weapon will aid will be the Legions of Excess. Stay tuned to find out!

Trevayne

Great update, and while building Aenaria an arena will not be cheap, on the bright side she at least didn't ask Taylor to pay off her bounty as a weregild . A quadrillion throne gelts and a sector overlordship? That would stretch even Taylor's finances. For that matter, I am looking forward to seeing how Taylor can make this work since presumably the Imperial Navy or Inquisition might try to collect on the bounty. Maybe if they see a Necron recording of Aenaria casually one-shotting a C'tan shard that easily destroyed several battleships they might reconsider.

Trevayne

One more thought, I wonder if the use of just Malekith and Rakarth against Taylor and Aenaria suggests that something unfortunate might have happened to Morathi. Maybe Vect lives?

Forgottenone

Well the third endbringers cutting lose on Chaos for a new shinny arena. Thus the branch that could grow into a strong future for She-Who-Thirst is cut down with Rakarth. I wonder at what rate QoB can use attacks of that level as she has a ex-eldar leader who she does not like right in front of her...and now no reason not to get rid of that trash. Frozen clowns might just be following the will of the fool now...yikes did they not read the fine print about pissing off gods?

Forgottenone

Vect is scary smart and if he died the information he would give to Pink Abomination could convince in theory the Pink insanity on what going to happen. Plus a few possible ways he thought up that could free it from the Emperors trap. I would not be shocked if a few of the fools elite guard showed up with a small army to steal Vect.

Confused

Hey Antony this may be out of left field but who was Doombreed before he ascended to Daemonhood? Because I have an uncomfortably candidate for him. If you can answer of course wouldn't want to give away spoilers!

frozen imbeciles are acting on their own grand plan wich they belive will suceed cus they are eldar and harlequins

Antony444

And it's going to be...err...not more pleasant in 8-5. Objective J is still attainable. There will be a POV on it mid-chapter before it is revealed in all its glory. The Masque of the Frozen Stars' activation of the Abyss of Dreams is going to ensure they all stay behind the scenes...which will naturally ensure Biel-Tan takes most of the blame.

Antony444

Since Taylor razed the previous one and has just negotiated the building of this one, no there isn't.

Antony444

Oh the other Endbringers were willing to talk. It's just that it's to scream your imminent death. No, the Queen of Blades can't claim the bounty on Rakarth. The Administratum and the Imperium in general have a lot of flaws, but major bounties can only be claimed if you're confirmed to be 100% human. Though I suppose once you hide the long hairs... It's true Commorragh is going to be the death son of most of the Aeldari warmongers, both Biel-Tan and otherwise. The Eldar who will watch the aftershocks are going to be more reasonable...

Antony444

I'm going for Attila, I think. Guy did enough carnage to be elevated as a Daemon Prince.

Antony444

There are already sufficient witnesses of Lelith's exploits to be aware nothing less than a full Crusade is likely going to work to kill her.

Rockinalice

I love how you added the bounties as the enemies are introduced absolutely brilliant

Trevayne

Interesting thought, I was wondering just how Aenaria would travel to and from her new arena without having to deal with aggravating Imperials who don't know any better trying to kill her, but I then realized the answer. In its wisdom, the Administratum has already directed that Imperial citizens are not allowed to engage her without Astartes and Primarch support. Thus, until Dorn and/or the Khan emerge from the Webway (or Guilleman is healed), no Imperials are allowed to attack Aenaria and are actually directed to flee on sight (granted, that last part might make filling the seats in the arena a little tricky, but it is at least a smaller problem).

Anonymous

I hope there will be a scene someday of Taylor and everyone else coming to the realization that having Aenaria around will keep Trazyn away because of his fear of her.

Anonymous

You are making me burn with anticipation over what exactly the mark of Commorragh is.

Boris Michenski

I'm currently more interested in how does she intend to leave Commorragh, it seems all path from Zel’harst are either under Imperial or Slaanesh control. And I doubt that even she could fight her way back to whereever she left her battleship. Does that mean she will stick around to the end and even leave on Imperial ship? (they could hardly refuse - she will come on board one way or another and only question would be how many of passangers and crew would be left)... So either she still have something in her sleeve (secret exit?) or we are up to another turn of some absurd supposition about threesome and what else...

Kioras

Well the Queen of Blades is likely the only Endbringer that can be discussed without touching on the ruinous powers or other things best not mentioned. She is merely a hero killer, not a corrupter. However the video of the fight will probably place her warning of needing Primarch level support even more true

Antony444

Depends what incentive Trazyn has to collect, of course. Sometimes, the Infinite can be really unreasonable.

Antony444

A good part of the plot will be revealed at the end of this chapter. I think the comments are going to explode mere seconds after the revelation.

Dale

You know, I can actually see the QoB having human spectators; granted ALOT of them will be Imperial 'watchers' both trying new and inventive assassination techniques, but there will also be a LARGE number of observers measuring her skills and trying to determine counters/attacks. The Inquisitors in particular I have no doubt will have a Division of observers ready to 'drop in' whenever she shows up. Now the 'common' Imperial citizen? Not so likely. I can SOO many ways that Arena can be used as extra 'history' both for Weaver's legend, and the Endbringers as well. And just think: if the Tyranids decide to 'drop in' anywhere near Nyx Sector, the Queen of Blades might decide to go into 'advanced Training' on their Hive Fleet. With nothing but her Wytch Cult and a few mercenary groups.

Antony444

Yes, it's extremely unlikely the 'average citizen' will be able to get seats for these 'spectacles'.

Mackenzie Buckle

what exactly is the Abyss of Dreams supposed to do?

Antony444

That, I'm afraid, comes directly in the POVs after the (temporary) end...

By the way Anthony, would it be appropriate if i re-posted some of the more informative posts i and others have made on thread 1 in very large posts so there shouldn't be quite that many repeats about what *Whatever* means and how they/it works, (The rehash of Adeptus Arbites is a good example), i wont if you don't think it is worth it

Antony444

No, no need to overload the new thread. But thanks for the suggestion.

Perhaps you could threadmark the long informative posts, so that new readers can find them in the thicket of 500 pages?
