Hey everyone!

Here's a first look at the new home base in Zombie's Retreat 2!  With the latest Town of Passion update complete, I can really begin the nitty-gritty process of designing the maps and getting the main areas established.

With this home base, I wanted to go with my vision of a cramped NYC apartment (while not being THAT cramped lol) so this is what came out after a few attempts.

My main goal was to prioritize important areas first.  So the stairs are accessible fairly shortly after entering and the dining area is furthest away.  Small details but when you return home and go to your room, those extra few steps go a long way!  Bathroom is unseen but to the right as well ;)

One thing I'm still wrestling with is the idea of a basement like ZR1.  At the moment, I don't think I'm going to add one.  Instead, I think I'll have a facility (motel) that you can build where saved women will stay in their own custom rooms.  Still in close proximity but not all packed in a giant unrealistic basement.  This also gives me more freedom to add as many recruitable women as I'd like since I won't need a pre-set cap on the amount of rooms possible.

I still plan for extra "close" characters to all stay at the apartment so the regular interactions and hiding of certain "secrets" can still be possible!  That's one of my favorite things about these stories is seeing how early on, everyone is so reserved and that slowly starts to break.

======

Stay tuned for more updates over the next couple of weeks.

Really hoping to have a playable Alpha out in late December but that will really depend on how much progress I can make.  There's still quite a bit to be done and I don't want to sloppily throw something together for the sake of it.  I'll let you all know where things are as that time gets closer!

Thank you all so much for your support!  I will see you soon, likely with a new character reveal!

Hey Siren, things are looking great! If I can toss an idea out there though. Maybe having a guest room, cot, pull out ( not likely 😉 ) couch to invite a distant character to be close would be a nice convenience.
