We are excited to share that Canvas Quest is now on Roll20 and Lost Atlas!

These storefronts will be updated as new releases drop and provide different options for everyone to enjoy our maps.

Roll20

Most of you are probably familiar with Roll20, but in case not..

Roll20 has been and still is the largest VTT out there. VTT = Virtual Table Top. This is a website where you and your friends can play DND and other ttrpgs via a shared screen with a wide variety of tools to play with.

These tools include maps! You can of course bring your own map and add it to your game, but Roll20 has it's own storefront and allows our maps and others to be purchased for use. So, if you want a single map but aren't interested in becoming a long term Patron this is for you.

Roll20 offers other tools like macros for dice rolling, compendiums of accessible information, whispering to players and more. It is considered one of the 'easiest' VTT to get into, but other VTTs like Foundry VTT offer more capabilities and complexity.

I'll release a 'How to' post in the next week or so to run through the basics of how to add a map to Roll20.

As of now, these maps do not have walls and dynamic lighting set. I plan on adding this in the near future.

Lost Atlas

Now this one was new to me so I'm guessing it's new to most of you.

Lost Atlas is a small Indy operation. I've chatted with the creator, Francis, a bit and he seems like a nice guy with a vision.

Lost Atlas aims to be a monthly subscription model for Battlemaps that gives you access to the top creators; CzePeku, 2-minute Tabletop, Angela Maps, Dyson Logos, and more.

I'll note that my favorite thing about this website is that it serves as a compendium for all of the best maps from many different creators. Typically, you are only aware of your Patron's maps or see maps randomly on Reddit or other social media. This is a one stop shop with an agile search function to find the map you want.

Creators can add free maps or premium maps to the site.

What's the deal here? For $5 a month you can download up to 10 premium maps. Not too bad at $0.50 a map.

I think there is a place in the market for this. On a weekly basis, a DM/GM uses the search to find and pick out a couple of maps for their next session. Now, of course you can stay as a patron to specific creators, but this gives you a wider net to find more maps.

Anyway, just my 2 cents.
