Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Hello folks! It's time for another development update!

As I mentioned last week, now that the script is done, I've switched to sketching and adding in placeholders to get a feel for the final art that I want in the game :)

I feel as though I had a very strongly productive week, creating 46 placeholders! 

They're mostly a variety of expressions for a few different poses- A side sprite, a bar sprite [ for the intro ], a standing sprite, and a closeup sprite.

Despite getting through so many sketches though, I've only just barely reached the true beginning of the game LMAO [ the intro is quite long ].

Here's a few gifs I took of various gameplay with the placeholder sprites in place:

As you can see, I'm going for a more cartoony approach to the art this time- and I admit I'm really loving it! I'm having fun creating these :)

I'm also experimenting a little with the blackout shading I want to do with the final sprites. 

Obviously, the final art may not look exactly like these sketches, but I have been putting more effort into them than I have with previous placeholders, so they may be somewhat more accurate to what the final game will look like.

Anyway, I think that's about all I got! Lots of productivity but pretty simple to explain that I drew a bunch of stuff LMAO
