Saturday Update! (Patreon)

Hello again folks!

It was another rough week to be honest, but I still got a fair amount of writing done, along with a bit of code cleanup.

That's the coverage of my writing so far. I know it looks kinda bad since I only covered a few new bubbles but the bubbles are pretty bullet point-ish and often turn into a lot of writing and choices LMAO

For instance, one of those bubbles says 'MC accepts stitches' and that ended up being a pretty long scene.

But still- I think I'm making okay progress and I'm finding the new writing to be fairly fun and interesting! I hope people like it when they eventually get to read!

I also did a bit of tightening up my code for Strade's heart meter- it now has an alternate pop-up version to show a love stat increase while strade's dialogue box isn't up. Sometimes MC does something or says something he really likes and I wanted to show that the instant that it happens :D

I also wrote some code to move the choice screen and push the HP/sanity bars out of the way so making choices feels more clean and [ hopefully ] intense.

Here's an example that shows both changes!

I also started looking at the death screen, but I'm definitely not done yet. For now, I made a fun transition to get to it at least :D

I might end up tweaking that and I'm definitely going to be doing a lot more with the rest of the screen, but I like the transition LMAO

Anyway, I'm hoping that my personal life challenges are mostly out of the way now. Stuff that was stressing me out and making work hard seem to be generally finished with [ a contractor came and dealt with the mold under my sink for instance ].

So I'm really hoping that next week will go smoother and I can really get into the writing more.
