Hello again everyone!

I gotta admit, it was another long week with a tension headache that just won't quit- but I did manage to keep up my work through it!

Like last week, I spent Monday through Thursday on backgrounds [ we now have 4 areas done in Mason's route, with a total of 16 background images due to 4 time of day variants on each ] and spent Friday doing some debugging and coding work. I tried to add a new feature for several hours but unfortunately it was a bust. I had to learn the hard way that config variables simply cannot be changed and updated mid-game [ I was trying to let the player set how many rewind states they would be allowed ]. It always kind of depressing when coding hours go down the drain like that but I suppose I did still learn a lot when I was trying things and reading documentation.

As for the backgrounds, I also updated the daytime version of the existing backgrounds slightly. I made the daytime versions cloudy and more grey to better show that the areas are cold.

Mason's route requires 3 more area backgrounds, but I think I might tackle a couple cgs while I'm at it- there are a couple instances of cgs that are essentially just more forest/mountain scenery and don't include characters. For instance, there's a cg set that the player gets upon climbing a tall tree to see everything from high up. I think it would be prudent to do that art while I'm doing all the backgrounds to help the scenery type stuff keep a uniform look.

For the debugging news, I don't really have anything too exciting to report! My testers are still working hard and finding bugs everywhere, but it's kind of the same old same old. Just making sure spelling and grammar is nice and that the story remains consistent no matter how the player chooses to play.

And I think that's about it! A sort of run-of-the-mill work report this week XD

I hope everyone is doing well! Thank you SO MUCH for your continued support as I keep grinding away at this. Your positivity and patience means so much to me and makes my life better. Thank you! <3
