I like to believe Iroh hires the teashop owner when his business closes.

I think for Iroh it was the offer of total creative freedom. I think with the walls and separation in the city it wouldn't be competition. I like to think Iroh would try to train him a bit to be better at his own shop.

Fun fact, Laogai(s) are a system of prison camps in china and are an abbreviation for Laodong Gaizao, or "reform though labor".

This episode is the closest the show will get to acknowledging someone's death on scene. It's sad that Jet didn't get his chance to really change and start a new life. I really love what uncle Iroh had to say to Zuko in this episode.

I finally found a way to watch the reaction in this setting! 😁. Btw: Are you going to watch the last three episodes of this season togheter? Because i dont think its wise to watch episode 20 and the first episode of season 3. I think its better to watch the finale togheter. And leave season 3 for the week after xd.
