From what I understand you don't really hear Mako's replacement until season 3. Though I've heard there are lines here and there that they had to fill in, but either all or most of season 2 is still Mako.

Like someone already mentioned, in the Appa episode you saw a guy from the water tribe. You think its Bato but it was Sokka and Katara's dad. Oh and Kat you hair and make-up are so cute today :3

Since Nickelodeon was obviously a kids network the show runners could never really outright kill off characters so they imply it, such as the case with Jet.

Yeah he died after season 2 so definitely all Mako this season. Also the voice actor who replaced him also covered many of Mako's other characters such as Aku in Samurai Jack

Season 2 is almost 100% Mako, however Greg Baldwin actually has one scene in The Tale of Iroh, oddly enough. The part where the kids bust up that guy's window playing soccer and Iroh says "It's usually best to admit one's mistakes...". I'm pretty sure that's the only part of season 2 that features Greg.
