Hey guys! We are sorry about the lack of content and info, but we've had a very tough week.. One of our dearest friends lost his mother very unexpectedly, and we've been focusing a bit on being there for him, his family and our mutual friends..

But now I can get back to editing, and I will post a bunch of Avatar videos here at the tail end of the week - both full reactions and also early reactions (as fast as I can make them)

And in this episode we finally get to see what happened to Appa!
Pheew, quite the emotional ride..

Much love y'all 💜

So sorry about your friend guys. This episode makes me cry every time I watch it. I love Appa. And We meet the Guru!

To be fair, Sokka and Katara weren't really able to fend the girls off. Sokka and Katara lost in both occasions, they just had Appa who helped them escape the first one and who blasted Ty Lee and Mai with air bending the second one. Sorry about your friend. I for one don't mind if the content slows down for every now and then, take care of your priorities first.

Sorry about your friend. Losing your mom is the worst feeling. I hope he feels better soon.

Yeah you're right, I just forgot how much Appa helped them in that one scenario. But they still seem pretty damn unbeatable, which annoyed me more than I though it would lol. And thank you so much 💜

I love that thing with the guru. My favorite humorous moments seem not the be noticed by others. When Zuko sniffs the flower in the shop, when the water snakes through the crowd to hit Sokka, and the idea of this Guru meditating by himself for years probably in the temple and then just 'SLURP' up his back. Lol. And Appa growling at him, "How dare you not be Aang."

This is an interesting episode too as people will tell you often it won and award from a humane association for showing life in zoos. During this whole WAP kerfuffle I did find that tiger lady's opinions about all the big cats in the video, their life and treatment, interesting. So when I did see that video everyone was like, "Oh muh gerd look at all that T and A" and I was like, "Look at all those poor Appa's :'(

Yeah this is one of those episodes that feels way longer than it's run time. It's emotionally draining to watch Appa go through those experiences. As for the Azula and friends vs Kyoshi Warriors fight ... you'll eventually find out how that all got sorted.

I cried when Appa and Aang were having the same dream :'(

This episode is so heartbreaking to watch, poor baby Appa! But we definitely needed to see his lost days. I'm sorry for your friend's loss. I hope you and your loved ones stay and healthy!

Jackie

Love your makeup in this video!

Those big cats of the previous episode can be seen at the end of this one. This show is full of small details

So sorry to hear about your friends loss, prayers goes out to their family. Take as much time as you both need to grieve.

While I don't disagree she has some plot armor, what I would say about Tai Li is that her fight style is very unfamiliar to other warriors. It's new. Most people don't know how to counter it. The Kyoshi Warriors are formidable but have been using the same style as part of their historical traditions for a long time. You can see this replicated in sports too, when an athlete comes out with a new way of doing things. There's a period of time where he or she can almost be unstoppable until people figure it out or even emulate it. Reminds me of the Golden State Warriors 3-point game. There was a period of time when no one could counter them. Now everyone has caught up. :-)

Adding on to what autopath said: With this war going on for a hundred years, and the Fire Nation winning constantly due to many variables, most other nations are on their back foot. Most of their greater forces are often imprisoned, as we saw in season one episode 6. Or dead. Many of the fighters we see from other nations aren't soldiers, they're wrestlers and scientists and farmers and fishers, and the OCCASIONAL master. The Kyoshis have been isolated and practicing their admittedly impressive art while the world evolved around them. It wouldn't be so hard to believe that the Fire Nation possesses a variety of impressive fighters and martial arts, that the rest of the world isn't completely prepared for. When Azula was gathering her team, she said she needed an ELITE force, not just her girlfriends. Even assuming Azula is emotionless, why would she keep the two around if they weren't talented and useful. These are things I think are relevant to the discussion.

especially when you fight Tai Li the first time, you don't know what she can do, and how she moves. which makes her so much more dangerous. and Azula is next to the fire lord, probably the most dangerous person in the fire nation.
