You guys are really going to like how things develop. They took care and time with creating this story and it shows. I just watched the final episode days before you started posting these. It is great to watch it before all the characters grow and you really understand what is going on. Yip Yip!

I love how much you guys enjoy it! Also fun fact: all the bending styles are different schools of real martial arts! I think Fire is Wing Chun, Earth is Ba Gua, Air is Tai Chi, and water is Kung Fu but i might have mixed some of them up!

Just a small correction, yes indeed the bending styles are based on different martial arts. Fire is "North Shaolin", Earth is "Hungar" or "Tiger and Crane" style, Air is "Ba Gua" and Water is "Tai Chi". There is a very interesting series of short videos on youtube that explain this called "Avatar: Creating the Legend" that I highly recommend watching (they're like 2 min each) but only AFTER finishing the 1st season as there are some spoilers.

No the Avatar doesn't always come from the Air Nomads. There is a cycle by which the Avatars are born from each nation one after another. In the context of the show the next Avatar, from when the war started a century prior, was supposed to born an air bender.
