This was the emperors plan, Maul was sent to pull Obi Wan away from anakin at the moment of decision, this episode is after palpatine killed mauls bother!

I'm sure Palpatine foresaw it and intended to use it to his advantage, since everything's (almost) always going according to his damn plans, but did he actually confide in Maul? And when did that happen? Or did he just "orchestrate" the events? And yes, I know this is after he killed Savage and after what happens in Son of Dathomir as well.

Yeah, what makes me think it was his plan is how palp said he had a job for Maul.

I only remember him saying that he has "other uses" for Maul, but something like this might have been what he was referring to? Or did he explicitly tell Maul that he had a job for him at some point? I am only asking because I honestly don't remember.
