Hi!

Fitting Room play test #3 will be out next week, all the features we want are now in, and now we're just doing final quality and bug testing. We Tweeted a clip of some of the new stuff in action. 

Thought I'd write up a post with a changelog and features now rather than on the release, to tease all the new stuff :D Some of these features we've mentioned / demonstrated before, but will write them again as a comprehensive list.

  • Added 4 new parameters for hair: specular contrast, specular size, gradient size and gradient strength.
  • Added Top Special and Bottom Special parameters in the Outwerwear menu. These will do various things depending on the garment, for example, these sliders might make a swimsuit more / less metallic if your character is wearing one, or potentially control sleeve length on some shirts etc. These parameters won't have an effect on every piece of clothing.
  • All the color options in the Outerwear section are now functional
  • Added Shoes Special to the footwear menu, this will do various things depending on the shoe type, but it will mostly control polish / shine of shoes
  • Added a laser pointer to the color picker for precision aiming
  • Added bounce physics to character

Added clothes changing!

Player can now dress their 2D girlfr- character by grabbing clothes off the racks and placing them on the character. Clothing on hangers will be in various colors to pick from, but player can also change the color however they like in the Outerwear menu.

Clothing is limited to schoolwear currently and includes -

  • Girl shirt and blazer
  • Girl shirt
  • Unisex short sleeve shirt
  • School skirt
  • School swimsuit
  • Unisex school pants
  • School slippers
  • Girl smart shoes
  • Male smart shoes
  • Boots 
  • Most garments can be combined to create modular outfits!


Added accessories system!

Player can place up to 5 accessories on their character on most places on the body. Each accessory can be colored any color. The accessories in this build are -

  • Headphones
  • Witches' hat
  • 3 types of headband
  • 4 types of bows and ribbons
  • Glasses


  • Made some changes to the way characters' skin is done in the settings menu. The skin shadow intensity and overall skin color setting has been removed, now there is only skin color and skin shadow color.
  • Added face shape sliders in the Face menu
  • Changed our renderer to remove MSAA and bring back toon outlines
  • Improved some hair meshes as part of our character overhaul, some hair styles will look better / more detailed than others and will include face shadow. All the hair types will eventually be improved like this.
  • Added hair changing system! Playes can change hair type with the hair book
  • Added character freeze and rotate buttons
  • Added save system, save up to 5 characters. Will be improved at some point in the future with a save naming system and probably more save slots.
