I finally read a book by my favorite author Rachel Aaron, called 2k to 10k, which is all about her storytelling methods and writing methods and how that got her to up to like a 10k per day word count, and holy crap this book changed my life a little bit. I'm now using her methods to get this story in gear and all of a sudden it's fun again! I mean, it was fun before, but it was also like a lot of work because I was thinking too hard about too many things -- everything became too symbolic and not relatable enough and it made writing the story very hard. But now things are chugging along. :3 I don't have much to share right now but: If you lurk around tumblr, I have an inspiration blog for this comic where I keep all the rebloggy things that strike a chord in me. You can follow that here: http;//mahoushoujoref.tumblr.com I'm also starting to curate a playlist, which you can listen to here: http://grooveshark.com/playlist/01+Magical+Girls/104181045 I'm still hung up about a name for this project, but I'm sure it'll come in time. I'm mostly just excited about how much more *human* and *relatable* the characters are getting. Yay! In the meantime, I've been wrestling with wanting to share written things but since everything is in the simplistic word barf stage basically anything I shared would be majorly spoilery and I don't want to take all the discovery and joy out of it. >8Ta Decisions and dilemmas. Anyway, hopefully when I'm not sick anymore next week I'll be able to sit down and scan a whole bunch of stuff cause I've got a bunch of concept art down on paper but scanning is the butts.

Is there a book that explains how to get from 0 to 2k? :)

TECHNICALLY that's the second half of the book, haha. It's really mostly about how to get started and do so in a way that all the hard stuff is out of the way first so you can just write write write. It's a neat book. :3
