RAW

The hot and passionate days of the sports festival are over.
The sports festival is, to put it bluntly, an event where the sports clubs are the main event. For those in the cultural club who don't do much exercise on a daily basis as their club activities, or for those who go home quickly after school, the sports festival is an event that they don’t need to make a fuss about when it ends.

So, what is the event where the cultural club is the main event?
It is, of course, the cultural festival.

That said, just because the cultural club is working hard, if you ask whether the people in the athletic club are doing nothing...

“Let’s make the cultural festival a blast!”

Like this Tadashi, they are in charge of enlivening the atmosphere.
In fact, for people who are not good at expressing their opinions, people like Tadashi who can clearly express their opinions are valuable.

So, as long as we aim to make this a success even from the planning phase, such enlivening personnel will naturally become the key to its success.

“Kazuki, what are you going to do for the cultural festival?”
“Who knows?”

For the planning of the cultural festival, Morimoto-san, a class committee member, will be in charge of it.

In reality, there is a separate leadership role created for it, but there is nothing we can do unless we decide what we plan to do in this planning phase.

“Next period is the time to discuss the cultural festival. Then, I'll leave it to you, Morimoto-san.”

Our homeroom teacher said that and left the classroom. As you’d expect, we are second year high school students after all, we can have discussions without any help from our teacher.
Morimoto-san stands in front and acts as moderator, and the discussion begins.

“First, let's talk about this year's restrictions.”

We don’t immediately decide what we’re going to do, first we’re going over the prerequisites.
Last year, there was a restriction that stage presentations could last up to 30 minutes, and there was a rule that carpentry work was prohibited in the classroom.

“Last year, one person fell off the stage during a stage presentation and sustained an injury. Therefore, the available area will be slightly reduced.”

Apparently, part of the stage on the audience side was no longer available. It seems we can still place lights and the like, but it is true that the range of presentation will be limited.
I didn't see the stage presentation last year, but apparently the injury was serious enough to draw blood.

“Also, this year, it is prohibited to place large objects in the hallways. We had a lot of feedback that it was difficult to pass through.”

It seems that we can’t place things like gates or statues. It's probably fine for things like store signs, but anything larger than that is probably not allowed.

This school allows the general public, not just students, to enter during the festival, so this is an opinion from those people.

“Also, as was the case last year, the use of fire instruments in the classroom is prohibited.”

At this school, only outside, within a certain area, may fire instruments be used for things like cooking.
Of course, permission is required if you want to use them.

“Based on the above, we will choose this year’s program.”

Morimoto-san concluded with that.
After that, a lot of people put out their opinions.

Here are some examples.

“Maid cafe!”

An opinion expressed by one of the boys. He obviously wants to see their form as maids.
He received a strong backlash from the girls.

“Making something like a library might be good.”

An opinion from one of the girls. It seems that they want to display a variety of books, including novels and manga, so that people can read them freely.
Morimoto-san rejected the idea because of the poor turnover rate and the restriction of long hours.

“If you want to run a maid cafe, you should add butlers too.”

This is another opinion from a girl.
Surprisingly, the boys have no qualms about wearing butler uniforms and seemed to be on board with it, but the girls who saw it objected.

“Can’t we just go with a normal cafe?”

Tadashi's opinion.
There were many people who were fine with that, but there were many things that needed to be done for that, and it was not unanimous, so the idea was put on hold.

The school knows that we can’t make a decision in one day, so there will be another time to do the same tomorrow.
It would be fine if we can decide at that time...

...

“A classroom? What are you going to do?”
“I’m thinking about what we can do for the program.”

In the dream.
I materialized my classroom and was trying to come up with some good ideas.

Hiuri is sitting in my seat while I’m standing at the teacher's table.

“Has Hiuri's class already decided?”
“The committee members here are boys, so it strangely becomes complicated. Tomoka-san is good at organizing things, so that's good, isn't it?”

Apparently, Hiuri's class had an even more chaotic meeting than ours.
Some even suggested games in the classroom. That's a bit... well, there's no way they'll get permission for that though.

“Is Kazuki-kun's class going with a cafe if you keep going like this?”
“Yes, but... how do you know?”
“Rinrin told me about it. Unlike me, that girl has a wide circle of friends after all.”

Rinrin... Aah, is it Hayashi-san? Because Hayashi Suzu can be read as Rin Rin, so she’s Rinrin.
I remember being surprised at the sports festival that Hiuri would call other people by their nickname.

It's true that Hayashi-san's cheerful demeanor gives the impression that she has a wide circle of friends. As for someone like me, the only people I know from the next class are Hiuri, Hayashi-san, and Kannazuki-san.

“I hope we can decide tomorrow...”
“Seeing how you can’t think of a good idea even though you materialized the classroom, you’re already out of the running, aren’t you, Kazuki-kun.”

I know that much.
