I thought this instalment was actually quite good! I loved all of the lessons throughout the film about moving on and growing apart from the ones you love. it was very hard hitting but honest and entertaining. Enjoy :)

I absolutely love this movie. This was truly a Woody centric story, and I love the journey that he goes on in this. It definitely is a sort of conclusion to this arc that he has had. My only gripe with this one is that our ensemble characters aren't in it as much. I really wish we got more of Jessie! However I'm completely fine with it now since we know that Toy Story 5 is officially coming! They are definitely going to reunite. This is such a real and raw movie and I loved the relationship between Woody and Bo. Forever my favorite Pixar franchise.

I'm glad you liked it. I'm not really a fan of how it was written however. I love the character of Woody but based on what we've seen from the first 3 movies, he isn't one to just give up on his kid. I mean that was the main thing Andy told Bonnie about him at the end of 3. I think that's the main reason a lot of people also disliked this installment. It makes perfect sense if you only watch Toy Story 4 but for the series as a whole I feel like Woody leaving is the wrong move. Hopefully they address some of that in Toy Story 5. We shall see.

So I hear yah 😆 BUT he doesn’t give up on Andy which is noble but at the end of the film, they both let each go. That’s literally his arc in the third film, Andy lets him and Woody lets him. Now in the case of Bonnie, Woody doesn’t “give up” on her, she doesn’t need him anymore the same way Andy didn’t. The difference here is that she still needs the other toys. I think if you think about it like a parent, it makes more sense. If you hold onto your kids too tightly when they need to grow up and leave the nest, you’ll actually do more damage to the relationship. I’m definitely in the camp that it’s consistent with his character progression; it’s just really hard to accept since it’s the most bitter part of any meaningful relationship. I think that’s the reason most people don’t favour the film.

As much as I want to love this movie - and granted, it does have some great moments - I can't look past Buzz's character regression. He's like my favourite character and they did him so dirty 😭

I actually quite like the film I think it’s great.

Ice of Age should be next 🤗

Makes me laugh because I always use the quote, “I’m trash” in my daily life. 🤣

I really had to sit with this one for a while after I saw it. It just didn’t feel like Woody to just leave Buzz and the rest even if Bonnie didn’t play with him anymore. Woody was willing to go to the attic or College with Andy and I thought he’d do the same for Bonnie, but after a while, I understood and completely get what you said Oscar. I hope we get more Duke Caboom. I love Keanu.

If they had ended it with the third film, this saga would be perfect. There are many reasons why this movie makes no sense. I have enjoyed the reaction. It has good moments, don't get me wrong, but really, if this movie didn't exist, Toy Story would be my favorite trilogy. I recommend, if at any time you are interested in a 6-HOUR video by GamingMagic13 that analyzes the movie frame by frame with the title "How Toy Story 4 Destroyed Everything": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U__oaZ9FiXM

Agree with this completely. When I first watched it, it didn’t exactly sit right with me. It took a moment of digesting and thinking about it more, and it does make sense. It’s not my favorite of the franchise, but I understood why they had it end the way that they did. It’s most likely because we aren’t comfortable with breaking up the group, but sometimes in real life, we have to let go of things. It’s a hard pill to swallow, for sure.

It was my first time watching this personally i loved it, forky was really funny and the ending really got me plus the animation was stunning, the only thing i didnt like is they ruined buzz.

Unfortunately Mr Potato Head’s actor passed away before this was made, so all of his lines are reused from old movies or recordings they had of him

Omg I refreshed looking out for this an hour ago and didn't see it...then I was just thinking how much I can't wait to watch this and wished it was ready. I got on here to try to find something else to watch and saw this.....I could not be more pleased. Thankyouthankyouthankyou! 😊

I apparently never watched this movie before lol. I did enjoy it, but I can also see why people wouldn't like it. A lot of people probably watched this movie for nostalgia. It's already very different from the other movies because it doesn't have Andy. You don't get as much of the other toys that we are used to. Bo Peep is back, but completely different. Buzz regressed. Woody in the end leaves his kid, though I agree with what you said that it was more that they mutually moved on from each other like he did with Andy, he was just able to do it at an earlier stage in her life. So I do get it, but it was still good

This movie has grown on me a lot more over time. I'm also really fond of the focus on Woody, and just seeing how committed he is to children and their joy and wellbeing. Not having Buzz be more like he was in movie 2 and 3 is the biggest letdown for me, but everything else feels very special and well done. Even Gabby I feel is a refreshing "villain" reversal of what we got from Lotso: her bad intentions are very apparent at the jump, not some good guy facade---but we see she's just desperate for that love from a child. I loved how sympathetic she really was in the end, and how she really wasn't villainous deep down.

I hadn't seen any of these movies before and the comments had me so scared for this one, but that was so good. Honestly, I think it has some of my favourite scenes out of all 4 movies. Thank you so much for such a fun reaction too, I discovered so many great movies through your videos now, that I never would have watched otherwise :)

I don’t know why people dislike this film so much. I think it does a fantastic job at showing that not every kid places equal value on their toys and even before Woody makes his decision Bonnie was already showing far less interest in him. I love the idea that woody is out in the world with other toys helping those who might need it instead of collecting dust in Bonnie’s room until she donates him or throws him away because she’s outgrown toys all together. I thought that this film actually paid respect to Andy by letting Woody go off on his own because it didn’t try to act like Bonnie cared as much about Woody as she did the other toys. Whereas Andy was extremely loyal to Woody and actually had trouble letting go of him the way I see it Woody has grown up in this film like Andy did previously. It's honestly really beautiful.
