In the first episode of Live Action, you could actually see Mihawks ship after Gold Rogers execution, when all ships are sailing away. Also, you mentioned Garp (bit of a spoiler), but he isnt introduced in anime as early as in Live Action

One of the best things the live action did, was their treatment of Mihawk. Never expected the live action Mihawk to be so good, but they nailed it. Having said that, I still like the anime/manga version of Mihawk better. Now, one thing that the live action did better, was Mihawk killing Don Krieg before he even got to Baratie. Don Krieg escaping him in the Grandline is just too much suspension of belief for me lol. We see some other differences here between the anime/manga and the live action versions. Nami doesn't leave this early in the live action and actually sees this duel while Sanji is the one to witness the duel here in the anime/manga. I have a love/hate relationship with this change. On the one hand, I really like that Nami was here to see the duel in the live action as it endears her to the crew more at this point in the story. At the same time, her leaving later in the live action undermines her duplicity in my opinion. Also, I really don't like Sanji not seeing the duel in the live action. In fact, the duel in the live action was much more private affair between the Straw Hats and Mihawk. Either way, whether it's the anime/manga or the live action, Mihawk is a true badass 😎😎😎

Episode 24, still one of the best episodes :) His real name is Mihawk Dracule and 'Hawk-Eye' is something like a title or nickname. Many pirates are getting one of those nicknames and most people know these better than the pirate's full names. For example Luffy is called 'Strawhat' Luffy more often than Monkey D. Luffy. You two did notice a very small but very interesting detail: Zeff did not show any fear at all even facing Don Krieg. Most of the times when characters do not react in this way it means that they know exactly that there is nothing to be afraid of. And that's something that makes Zeff very interesting in combination with the information that he travelled the Grandline for one year.

I like that when Ussop leaves he says when the 5 of them are reunited, to him its a foregone conclusion that Sanji is joining the crew.

Coming here from reading the recent Manga chapter of One Piece, its now more clear how Luffy can make everybody even the watchers so giddy and just smile and laugh all the way. Oda is a god at writing.

someone should tell these poor women that sanji’s flashback was heavily altered in an extremely noticeable way for the anime, then adjusted back to match the manga in the live action show. please don’t be disappojnted at the change! it’s worse than the original story but don’t let it distract you, the message and meaning are the same!

Zoro has some really great moments throughout the show, the most infamous being that time nothing happened, but this is probably my favorite moment for him, it’s so inspiring. On the inspiring side, Zoro is also my gym motivation right now, trying to look like him

Can u react to Dragon Ball GT episode 33. with English subtitles , Japanese version. There's not a single one on Youtube. from anybody. and it's the best. epic music starts playing during the transformation. And it's probably the best moment in Dragon Ball GT

"It should be easy... to give up your ambition, right?!" - Sanji, the guy giving up his ambition in service of Zeff because Zeff saved his life. Sanji seeing this fight between Zoro and Mihawk has so much symbolism and importance, especially when viewed in hindsight, and Sanji needed to see it more than anyone else did, yet he was the only one who didn't see it in the live action.
