Uncommon Breed + Future + <3
I started making Uncommon Breed because I wanted to learn how to make games and eventually support myself by creating them. After spending some time working on the game and learning how to do things I began thinking of all the cool stuff I could do.
This kind of thought process is dangerous for something that already has users...
I started changing everything about the combat system, remaking the art to fit it's style, and was basically making a whole new game.
After some of you voiced your concern about the change of art I started to really dislike the idea of pulling the rug out from beneath the users who had already become attached to the characters.
So I'm going to stay within the scope of my original idea, keep the art as is (with minor improvements here and there) and prevent myself from burning out by trying to add all the features I think would be cool.
However, I will be adding these ideas as new stretch goals (this helps me work towards full time game dev)
Combat is still going to change to look more like:
Where the enemies are still on the screen in a 3d environment but the party will be in the UI as their turns rotate.
It'll still include multiple spells that will be gained through the story.
(Enjoy a nice underwear shot of a previous version of Grizz :P )
New Stretch Goals
Randomized Dungeon System / Mode
Earn experience, gain new skills based on level + relationship status.
Loot system + RPG stat system
Beef up your favorite character with loots acquired in the battles / dungeons.
Skill Tree Customization
Each character will gain a skill tree you can customize as they level up.
Example: Gear can choose the path of a shock engineer, explosive engineer, or time engineer
Armor Switches
Have some armor change the current armor look of your character during battle. (Gonna hire an artist for this one).
