Working a bit more on the 3D Print zine concept! I want the style to be clean and cartoony, but also accurate. The tricky thing to start is that I want to illustrate "real" machines, without necessarily depicting a "specific" machine, which obviously can cause some problems.

You can see here the reference that I pulled - these are some of the most common FDM printers. I want to make sure that this "looks" like a 3D printer that you would see in real life, but it would be difficult to see all the parts if it was fully enclosed! I've identified key pieces here that I want to include on the diagram.

You'll notice this isn't in a "page". I want to try to make this zine with a bit of a different method. These days for promotion I have to slice and dice my comics to make them suitable for different social media formats... this time I'm going to try to keep all of the art in separate files, and just compile them into different shapes depending on where it's going. We'll see! It's a lot of extra work, but hopefully will be a lot less painful in the compiling stage.
