Ok, im gonna start this with you. Ive already seen the pilot a long time ago but i dont think i watched anymore. Lets see how this show develops. I did watch the new one though, i really like the new one. Its not really a reboot, its just another adaption of the books which is in some ways more accurate and other ways not just like this show. I actually believe they dont have the rights to this show so nothing that this show created specifically isnt allowed in the new show. Kind of interesting tbh. I hope after this series is over you decide to react to the new one as well! I miss the early 2000s vibe and wish they would come back in shows. Early 2000s was the best era of tv in my opinion. The reply to this comment might have some expectation spoilers regarding the newer show, just to give you a heads up. (I know how much you hate those)

Been subscribed on YouTube for a few years now and held off on doing your Patreon until specifically now for my favorite show of all time, that's been with me and there for me this whole time good and bad, the show I still compare everything to. Screw paying for just 3 days of March, I had to jump right in (I'll go back and go through the Buffy archive later:)). I had to go look it up - so he's a musician and John Doe is his professional name. I'm a little bit shocked the actor's guild allowed him to use that name in credits, but maybe there are easier rules for that then I think.

Yes that was the rules laid out to Mack of the new show that anything this show created was off limits. However as far as closer to the original books go, literally all I think they did was retain Liz and Alex's surnames and pretty much nothing more, the rest was all her creation. I only saw season 1 and a few other episodes, I don't think the show was very good, not bad either, just very very average. However despite claiming to be a fan of this show, Mack IMO missed the entire point of the show by choosing to focus on what she chose to focus on and changing the things that she changed which may or may not have led to her ousting after season 2 and leaving her underwriters have to work with what they had. If she had chosen to write what she wrote as her original creation and called the new show literally anything else in the world, then my criticisms there are totally moot, but she instead chose to name it Roswell New Mexico to try to leech off a show fandom with a very cult following, so I think all the criticisms I vaguely alluded to there that I can't say because spoilers are 100% valid. And I agree that true 90s and 00s WB shows were always my favorites.

I think you should edit your comment bc it has expectation spoilers. Also i did look online a there are a few more things that are from the books. I never said it was all accurate to the books just that some things were more accurate and some things are not more accurate. Also i just disagree with you about Mack and the new show.

I haven't seen Runaways but I felt fairly certain Will Smith was not in it. I so stopped the video and spent 15 minutes researching till I realized you were talking about the guy that ordered the Will Smith. I'm stupid.

He's an executive producer of the show. He is also WELL known to any Trekkie as Will Ryker First Officer aboard the NSS Enterprise under Captain. Jean Luc Picard.
