Not a fan of the writers character assassinating Kyle in this episode. They spent most of season 1 redeeming him and making him a better person just to ruin him in one episode for the sake of drama.

next episode is directed by Amy Jo Johnson (the original Pink Power Ranger! ) which I thought was so cool.

In regards to Kyle's cheating, I didn't perceive it as major character assassination (in believability) when I first watched this because as you said, we didn't like Kyle as a character at the beginning of last season, and this cheating is implied to have taken place before Season 1 before any of the character development happened. Even in Season 1, we had a Kyle that drank, who was borderline (if not actually) verbally abusive, and that didn't even seem too worried for Lois when her car blew up and could've been killed. Cheating is of course pretty awful, so although I was shocked at the revelation, it seemed pretty plausible to me that a pre-Season 1 Kyle (and therefore worse version of him) could be capable of that. That said, Lana and Sarah's reaction are more than valid, and Kyle's demeanor indicates he knows no matter what progress he's made can forgive this betrayal. He should have come clean right away; but although he's come a long way, I found it believable for him to make this mistake so soon after the start of his character development... as opposed to what I'd grant a certain Khaleesi eight seasons in.

I don't think it's a assassination of Kyle character yes cheating wrong but this is probably happen before season 1 so before his develop So I think the x kryptonite is effecting Johnathan behavior which is kinda of a disappointment I'm come on most drugs do that like he half Kryptonian it's could have effected him a different way The fight between superman and bizarro was pretty good the way they used his fire breath and freeze vision was interesting and now we know why he here Jordan come on man you should have known something was different about Johnathan last season you accidentally broke his arm when he blocked your punch and now he keeping up with you something is definitely going on Sarah and Lana the way they are feeling is totally valid and you can see how Kyle feeling like he knows he changed the past but he trying to be better Anyway good episode

I love how excited Clark gets about food its such a relatable quality. I can't lie if given the opportunity to try XK i would not hesitate. Would you try it and which Kryptonian power would you want to manifest if you did?

A couple people have said as much but I don't consider this character assassination. It's not that he's NOW a cheater, it's that he WAS a cheater. Season 1, maybe even earlier than that he had an affair and was lying to Lana about it. But like you said he did eventually change for the better but when he saw just how willing the mayor was willing to dig up dirt on the family he panicked and assumed that old secret would eventually be found out so he went back to the bar to try to cut it off but he inadvertently turned it into a self-fulfilling prophecy and now his bad past has caught up to his good present and he now has to live with those consequences. In conclusion, he fucked around and now he's finding out lol But a great episode and good reaction. Until the next episode.

Sarah and Jordan weren't that far away from where Kyle and "the other woman" were. They were only a few feet away, among the parked cars. They were definitely within earshot. No super hearing was needed to have heard them.

Hmmmmmm.... Do I feel bad for Kyle?? I mean... Dude could've said something MUCH. earlier.. Judging from Lana's response to hearing about it.. He lied about the whole thing ...So I don't feel bad ..But I do agree with the fact that they made Kyle a better character since the first episode and now they're kinda ruining it ...The only person I can side with right now in the Cortez family I suppose IS. Lana The other 2 (there's 3 others but the fuck is the little sister even doing on the show? ...And I could swear there was a little brother as well?? Maybe not) have a LOT. of redeeming to do What upset me more though is that he got outed by a 15 year old hypocrite ....Buuuuutttt let's not get back into that
