I just heard that TVD is leaving Netflix on 31 August. Will you be able to continue reacting after that?

1)I see a lot of parallels with Buffy in this series, but this was definitely a more specific parallel.. It was actually in season 3 of Buffy. I’m aware that not only the creators, but some of the writing staff of this show are Buffy fans. 2) I also get tired of the withholding/lying as a way of causing conflict for plot.. To me it’s a little lazy. Lastly) Right with you the Stelena break up 😏🤷🏼‍♀️

James MacDonald

Love you, Shan. However, you don't have a lot of empathy for characters who aren't among your favourites. Whether or not Elena's feelings for Elena are justified, it's completely rational for Stefan to be hurt. Put yourself in his shoes. She strung both brothers along for a year, finally chose one, and then changed her mind almost immediately. How is Stefan the one at fault here? In this love triangle, Elena is the one to blame. If this was a real life scenario, no one would think Elena was the innocent party. Anyway, just my two cents.

AfterShowReactions

No I understand that he's upset. I get that. I don't however believe it's healthy at all for him to try to 'fix' her since she is literally the same person as before. They keep saying she's changed but honestly I don't see it.

James MacDonald

The part about him selfishly trying to change her is in the next episode (I'm watching your episode 7 reaction as we speak). I just don't see how Stefan was the bad guy in episode 6. There's only one person to blame in that episode, and it's Elena for stringing both brothers along for so long, and then changing her mind (breaking both their hearts within a week). If she hasn't changed as a result of becoming a vampire, she's even more in the wrong for being so fickle. I agree with you about episode 7, though. Stefan is motivated for selfish reasons.

The reason Stephan tried not to talk about the cure. Klaus said If he told anyone. Klaus would compel / erases everyone he cared abouts minds completely.

3 years late but just wanna put it out there for future reactors, I agree with this, I started with after show reacts by watching the orginals reactions, loved them so moved to vampire diaries and honestly Shan favoritism towards her favorite characters really does blind her from so much situations and kind of always blames someone else for something that isn’t initially their fault, I don’t think Stefan was in the wrong keeping his secret and it’s obvious he wanted to tell it but him worrying about the threat that was made towards him and anyone he told by klaus was the reason he didn’t say anything, and that’s exactly what he should’ve and did, on the other hand Damon was the persistent one that forced Stefan to tell him and not just that but was also Damon’s fault the hunter died, he intervened and chose to fight Stefan, forcing Stefan to let him go which led to Elena killing him, as well as Damon was the one that convinced Elena to kill the hunter when she had the chance this whole episode was Damon’s fault and she over looked it all because she loves and favors Damon, as for the break up, Stefan has every right to feel and say what he said cause even tho he pushed her into Damon, its because Damon that Stefan had to leave with klaus and turn into the ripper, I love the reactions and it’s cool to see a completely different perspective on the show after having my own but sometimes like in this episode it’s a little hard to watch just how much she favors one side but that can be just me

All I will say is that it's a reaction channel, people are allowed to have their own biases and personal opinions, about what characters they like and what characters they don't like. It's an honest reaction in this way. It's a Reaction channel, not an Objective Study Channel.

Keith Engel

As I have been re-watching the show through various reaction channels, I keep picking up on the parallels we see in Season 1 even concerning the Triangle. Stefan at first was always dodgey with Elena, it even caused them to "break up" rather early at one point. She was always discovering aspects of Stefan on her own, the he would hide from her. First it was about hiding his secret as a vampire, then it was about hiding his secret about being a killer/ripper, then the Katherine issue. If you think about, how often was Stefan honest with her? The first road trip with Damon and Elena also building on the trust factor and really the first time we see Elena having real fun. Yet, we also see that Damon was at least being semi honest with her at first, also he never hid who he was or what he was once she learned the secret. I just realized how much those initial trust issues at the start of the series, play are larger role as the seasons go and to this episode.

Josh Lomax

Not to mention, Matt told Stefan in Season 1 "she's big on trust" and it was an issue like you said. Now, as a vampire, everything is heightened, which is why she reacted so strongly to being lied to again
