Ok random ...We get a flashback to a conversation between Liz and Rosa that went down on the 17th of May 2008 ...Liz is apparently going out and she asks what Rosa is going to do ...Rosa mentions that Usher is hosting SNL (Saturday Night Live) ...As I said "Random" ....So I looked it up and turns out the writers of this episode did a bit of research and decided to randomly mention the fact Usher DID. in fact host SNL that night ......Although technically he was the musical guest not the actual host ...That was Steve Carell ....They tried though ...I'm guessing they went with the Usher name drop instead since people who watch this show would perhaps more easily be able to recognise Usher as opposed to Steve Carell ....Anyways ...Random ...But I decided to look it up and see if people did their research ....It's good they went for the 17th of May and NOT. the 10th of May ...Given the musical guest the week before was "My Morning Jacket" ......Who the fuck is that?!!1!? 4. Aight ...Apparently Isobel can teleport or they fucked up this shot ...Michael is talking to Maria at the bar ...Behind him (to the far right) Isobel is talking to some dude ...The dude comes over to order some drinks and we see Isobel is STILL. sitting to the far right ...The camera shot focusses on Michael who now looks behind him to the far LEFT. and we see Isobel sitting in an entirely different part of the bar ...So either she teleported ...She moved SUPER.fast without anyone noticing ..OR.. They fucked up this scene ...Cause there's ZERO. way she could get over there THAT. quick without superpowers 5. Some kid is laying in a hospital bed and Kyle is having a go at Max about some random thing... Something about his dad being a real hero or something I dunno ...Kyle leaves and Max is looking at the kid but doesn't do anything ....You: "Other Max would've been in there so fast!" .....HA! You're not wrong 6. Some scenes later ...Kid is flatlining and Max ...Who for some reason is STILL. there watching the kid (He's got some of that old Max vibe going I guess) gets asked by Kyle if he's just gonna stand there ...You: "I know the other (Max) .....Would've healed him in 3 seconds flat by now" ...Yeah ...Old Max did like to touch kids a lot ...The whole healing part might've just a lucky side effect to keep him out of trouble 7. We see Max using his powers to restore power to the hospital and it cuts to Kyle with a smirk on his face knowing they can now save the kid ...You: "Is that him realising that it was Max?" ...It did come off that way didn't it? ..I honestly don't know if that's what happening here but you might be on to something ...added later... I guess Kyle DID. hear Liz mention Max's name at the end of the previous episode since they're definitely talking about it like Kyle knows whatsup 8. Liz is being smart ...Seeing if the handwriting on the note from Rosa's backpack is the same as Max's handwriting in some old yearbook or something ....For a SHOW... It's a smart way to try and exclude someone from a suspect list ...Although I DO. feel like handwriting changes over time ...In school we were taught to write in cursive ..Have the letters in each word connect to eachother ....Over time I've ceebed on that and my writing style is COMPLETELY. different now ...A smart suspect would keep this idea in mind and change their writing style to stay off the radar ...So I don't think this handwriting match trope thingy would work in real life 9. Yeah holy shit... Kyle comes to check up on Liz and you point out the fact that Liz has lit up a fuckton candles ....That seems like a BUNCH. of work ...BUT... I gotta admit ...I love the smell of the smoke when a candle is blown out ...So that room would've smelt GREAT. after she'd blew them all out ...That said ...Major fire hazard (salutes) 10. I'd like to go on record pointing out that when Liz was a mess before ...Max didn't want to take advantage of the situation and he was honest about it to her .....Now that Liz is yet again a mess ...Kyle is suggesting that he and Liz have some "recreational time" ...Look... I'm NOT. saying Kyle is a bad guy ...But Max is CLEARLY. the better one in this situation 11. YUP! ...100% would NOT. suggest to be throwing clothes around in a room FILLED. with a FUCKTON. of lit candles ...That's an accident waiting to happen 12. I can't blame Max for what he said to Liz ...She violated his trust by talking about him to Kyle ...Then again ...I also can't blame Liz ...Since Max isn't telling her the whole truth ...I'm a big believer in being honest with the people you love ...If you can't be open and honest with me ...Don't waste my time and get the fuck out ...Liz and Max need to be honest with eachother ...MORE. so than they were in this scene ...But I suppose Max now wants her gone and I can't blame him 13. So did Michael kill those girls or is he pulling off a Dark Knight? ...Taking the blame so the others don't have to? ...I dunno ...It felt like Max was about to take the blame but maybe that's just cause he's Max ...So I'm confused (and legit don't remember how this goes) 14. On the subject of Maria being a psychic ...I think it's just random casting that the actress playing the role turned out to be black ...It's a CW show ..They wanted diversity (which is good) ...I don't want to draw similarities between this show and any of the TVD shows since Julie Plec DIDN'T create this show ...She was an executive producer on the first 3 seasons of this show and most likely didn't have the ultimate say on the casting of these characters given she didn't create the show and wasn't the only executive producer either 15. That said ...In the books ..Maria is stated to have psychic abilities due to some sort of ring she found ..shrugs.. I didn't read much more into it than that ...But I suppose they're giving it their own spin on the show ....I guess we'll see how they'll explain this and IF. a ring comes into play later ...But yeah ..I think her being black and being a psychic is just coincidence and has nothing or ALMOST. nothing to do with Julie Plec being involved
