Yeah, seriously.  It's pink, it lights up and it may kill all your fish ar at least make them swim around at 50/60Hz with a loud buzzing noise.

My favourite bit of this is that the power supply pretends to be a 12V 500mA one and then bangs out 40V referenced directly to the mains.

Pink plastic LED fish-o-cutor.

I got told about this unit by someone who had bought one and it had killed the fish in their aquarium. The sensible way to do this would have been to use a small USB style power supply running all the self colour changing LEDs in parallel.

Then there are things actually sold for this purpose: <a href="http://www.ebay.com/itm/735MP-Ultrasonic-Inverter-Electro-Fish-Fisher-Fishing-Machine-Stunner-w-Fuse-/201822375085?hash=item2efd8d0cad:g:bnsAAOSwTuJYprdP" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.ebay.com/itm/735MP-Ultrasonic-Inverter-Electro-Fish-Fisher-Fishing-Machine-Stunner-w-Fuse-/201822375085?hash=item2efd8d0cad:g:bnsAAOSwTuJYprdP</a> Illegal to use here in the US, I think.

Yikes. Dangerous for fish, or anybody or anything else that may want to play in the water. 🙀

Poor fishies.

LED Instant Sushi maker?

To me it looks like that whole bottom cavity is meant to be potted with resin, which would probably have helped in the nicked wire situation. Maybe not so much if there was an air bubble below an LED.

Simple miss-spelling... There should not be an "n" in the second word.

They probably make more money by being stingy with the resin.

Back in the 50s, one of my father's neighbors in Iowa used to use a hand-crank magneto from an old telephone and a generous length of wire to "dial up fish" at the local fishing hole. It looks like this is the same thing on a much smaller scale :-D
