One of the joys of being able to make and modify stuff is that you can have things that don't even exist commercially yet.  That was the case with these modified LED strings.

I'm travelling at the moment, so the location will look and sound a bit different.

"Vintage" full colour LED fairy lights?

It's odd to think of LED Christmas lights as being "vintage", but I reckon this set can be described as that, since it's one of the very first full colour LED strings that I custom built (because they didn't exist yet.)

Wow, those LED strings really are quite lovely. The blue and green were quite different hues than I expected, for the better!

Your custom string is quite nice and the quality smoothing with the cap really gets rid of the flicker. I will look at doing that to my flicker white and blue set. As for the shooting location, it actually looks quite good even with what appears to be a single overhead light. Works well.

Really great, the way the colours project around the room. I agree, the lighting set up here looks terrific. A pair of fluorescents or LED replacements?

I've gotten so used to the phosphor LEDs we have now that the old LED colors look so very different once again.

I really love your videos Clive and look forwards to them but it sound as if you have a cornflakes box over your head. I don't know where the comparison came from. Keep them coming. K

Great video!

The camera was mounted between two fluorescent tubes. The only issue being the inverse square law causing a significant intensity variation over distance.
