Slight intensity yo-yo at the beginning. I'm working on that.

Audio sounds great from the new camera phone. Nice rich sound. Good picture too. Regards, RollieBear

Great video. I have a question that will probably be able to answer. I'm an Audio guy. I have synthesizers, drum machines, and guitars, etc. I use guitar distortion pedals - these are very high gain op amp or transistor that drive usually diode clippers or further transistors in saturation modes. To keep the noise floor under control. it is helpful to have the cases of your pedals and your amplifier referenced to ground [physical earth ground]. Usually only our amplifier is referenced to real earth, and you're relying on the shielded side of your cables to share that earth down to the ground. I notice that the switchmode power supplies I have are never referenced to earth, usually don't even have the earth pin on the plugpack. Is there a simple reason why they don't do this? I've done some formal electronics study, and can read a data sheet, and research circuits, but I can't find a good reason as to why. Is it cost, or is does it require extensive extra circuitry?

I wouldn't have noticed the intensity if you hadn't pointed it out, haha

I've never quite sussed out why they don't have the grounding facility in all power supplies. My guess is it's to allow standardisation of the product between countries with and without a ground facility. You do get better quality power supplies with the ground in place.

Thanks. In music equipment kit, you can sometimes find linear power supplies with grounds attached. I have a few linear and a few switch supplies, and I just try and get the linear one with earth into the end of the system furthest away from the mixing desk or recording device. The Audio Woo people think that switching supplies are the devil and that they "damage your tone". People pay well over $200 for a power supply that delivers a half dozen or so 9v loads and a few higher voltage ones You'll love this lurid pink model - It was sold in Australia for just under $400. http://cioks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=44&Itemid=61 Who would have thought that shifting 240v down to 9v DC would be such a lucrative industry. PS: Sound quality on this video was very good.

The audio industry is notorious for excessive pricing on normal products. That's perhaps a good example of that.

The video is definitely an improvement, but I found the sound clear but rather quiet. I am using a separate sound bar on my display, so I USUALLY get plenty of volume. Great video nonetheless.

Audio sounds good, video quality is excellent. Nice work all around. As for that earth continuity...yuck.

Jeezo Clive, You're becoming paranoid about your audio settings! Your audio is A ok BigYin!!

Just uploading and editing another test video where I convert the cloud night light into an RGB one. It uses a different recording app (just 720p at first) and the audio is from the phone's built in microphone, which unfortunately points straight down onto the bench, so loud noises make the AGC mute everything for a second. You can let me know what you think when I post it here.

Weirdly, even though this is dated the 10th, Patreon notification only appeared in my inbox just over an hour ago while a later one, like the RGB modified cloud video's notification had arrived long before it. Ah well, the vagaries of email and Patreon notification I suppose :) . Anyway, sound quality in this was good throughout. ignoring the wibbly wobbly intensity at the beginning, my only criticism would be the low contrast, especially when you first opened it up and it was very difficult to make out the LEDs on the white PCB. Though that might be due to the positioning of the light sources. That minor criticism aside, this was generally pretty good all round audio and video.
