I really don't understand why people hate on S1 of Blackadder so much. Sure, it's quite different in tone to the other seasons but it still has some hilarious moment, and ultimately establishes Blackadder as an underdog wanting to raise his status while being surrounded by idiots. Plus it's only 6 short episodes. It's not like people can't just wait until you get to S2 if they hate it so much.
