She killed Mao.

Splargle

You seem to have missed her shooting him in the neck with a silenced pistol at the end, he dead.

Mao def foreshadows events later on, but they don't seem to be picking up on it. Can't wait for that reaction to happen. #ItWasATrap

Well last episode they saw him get shot repeatedly by what was basically a firing squad so I can't really blame them for questioning if hes really dead this time.

I don't think they heard, but Lelouch and Nunnally's mom's name was Lady Mary-Anne.

Another interesting episode although full of exposition. I am really getting into it. So Mao wasn't dead? That was weird. I would have liked a hint that he wasn't. And I'm not sure if we are suppose to think he died again. I liked seeing Lelouch and Suzaku working together. I didn't know in this world humans could be be so superhuman. HE ran the wall and outran bullets. I definetely saw the father killing coming(but I'm sure most did). Although I wonder if it will change anything between for Suzaku to know that Lelouch knows it. Or Lelouch will use geass on him? They sure love their inuendos. Stuff are starting to be linked with the president meeting with Suzaku's boss. And I'm interested in the amnesia girl new housewife life.

I like the evolution of their interest, particularly Eric and Aaron, from ep 1 reaction til now. CG is a show burn, but it picks up and keeps rolling. PS the 1st episode opens with Lelouch gambling...his game of choice being chess.

Sya

the coin drop was to break lelouch``s mind , simulating the drop of the chess pieces onto the scale. which clearly got to him.

I never really liked the little Mao arc. It always seemed to me as filler, not super relevant to the story. But that final episode is great, and it does set up a few things.

Kaleo Mungin

never picked up on that "meet on Cs world". You notice so many things with each rewatch with this show lol

On Eric's comment about the sewers and Suzaku saying that Lelouch should have picked up on it, it's actually more evidence that Lelouch was acting dumb but actually using Suzaku and luring him to help. Earlier, he acts weird at the clubhouse to get Suzaku's attention to follow him up the stairs, then at the stairs when Suzaku arrives, he "accidently-on purpose" drops the picture of Nunnally. Then he brings up the "sound of water" voluntarily to prompt Suzaku to think of the sewers. Lelouch is trying to mask how manipulative and intelligent he is from Suzaku as much as possible because he knows that he's the Lancelot's pilot. He doesn't want to give him any reason to think he's Zero.

Dasher

Wasn't the bit that Eric mentioned of Mao's silhouette at the end of airport scene enough of a hint that he wasn't dead?

Except if Lelouch was manipulating Suzaku into following him, Mao would've known and called him out on it. Also he doesn't know that Suzaku was the Lancelot's pilot. How would he? He thinks Suzaku is in engineering.

In my opinion, his only true purpose is to introduce the concepts of not being able to turn off your Geass, so when "that" event happens, it doesn't seem, like an ass pull, because they "seeded" the idea with Mao.
