"Renders" with a plural, because this is actually four separate renders stitched together! Primarily just the one, however; the base render provides, well, the whole base, but there's one behind it that has a few plants (this was a throwaway render, but the plants came out good enough and they took a long time to render, so I just cut them out of subsequent renders).
On top of that, there's two other renders, same scene but with different lighting. Only portions of these are visible, and they help the scene by adding some softness to the shadows and a little extra light in spots that needed it.

The whole composite result gets smacked with a blur filter anyway, so a bunch of those details go to waste. It's not a terribly long process to render though, so there isn't much reason to skimp on the detail... though in retrospect I probably could have rendered the background at half-size and just scaled it up later, since it gets blurry anyway. Too late now.

Most of my scene backgrounds aren't this involved, this particular one was tricky because of the need for a shadow, and some lighting tweaks to give it more of an outdoors feel. Not sure how well I achieved the latter, but the former worked just fine!
