Hey gang, we mentioned this earlier this week on OSL and we thought, heck, why not actually give it a shot? Let's see if we can keep these going week after week with various box-office-related topics!

So first up, the HUGELY anticipated (sarcasm) Madame Web opened in theaters Wednesday to kick off "Valentine's Day Week" or whatever horse hockey late-stage Capitalism has thought up next. So for its opening day on Wednesday, the film grossed just a little over $6 million, losing first place to Bob Marley: One Love, another "who asked for this?" title that grossed just around $14 million opening night.

Keeping that in mind, what will Madame Web's final weekend gross look like, do we think? Remember, its projection at the moment for the six-day weekend is between $25-$26 million

Guess below how you think the film is going to do at the box office and we'll read the poll results on the air during Monday's broadcast!

With all the negative buzz, no way this breaks $20mil

Anonymous

Feeling a solid $22 mil

Chris MacLeod

This is definitely going to be a bad/good "C'mon we GOTTA see it guys!" Enough to get it over $25mill

Lono's Oboe

I am voting under $20. This is speaking as someone who was initially dragged to, and then eagerly awaited each of the 50 Shades movies and watched them Valentine's day night because they ended up being ridiculous cheesy trash. I just don't see this having that same cross demo appeal. People are coming out of this movie bored.

Why won't they let me vote 100 Webillion dollars?

Rose Esposito

I don't understand box office predictions and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.

Anonymous

Can anyone tell me why Dakota Johnson looks and acts embarrassed to be associated with this film??

Anonymous

I was going to go see it, but then I got sick and I didn't want to spread it to anyone else. I guess I should have just gone because there was no one to spread it to

Anonymous

Over performing this weekend on bad movie sickos coming out to see the next Morbius. Then a -90% drop week two

wehatemovies

Entirely possible, but keep in mind it's already got $6 million from Wednesday, and the grosses from yesterday aren't finalized yet, plus Friday through Sunday. Stranger things have happened! - Andrew

wehatemovies

Never count out ironic viewings! (He says as he preps to ironically go check it out this afternoon.) - Andrew

I just don't understand how Sony can be effing up the Spider-man movie universe so badly... they have people doing it right with Miles Morales on the animated side, put them in charge of the live action stuff!

Anonymous

I think there will be alot of "Seeing is believing " watches that will boost the numbers.

Anonymous

I'm not proud of it but I'm Seeing it tomorrow and I'm kinda excited

Anonymous

I'll probably see it, but not going to lie I'm kind of hyped to see One Love... compared to Argylle anyway.

Frank Grimes

Between 20 to 25. I can't take this movie seriously because I have 90s spidey madame Webb forever burned into my mind.

gavin

Its hard to suck money off of vague mcu connections when the actually mcu properties aren't getting much love nowadays. I think itll be under 20

Anonymous

Around 22 ironic million dollars

Anonymous

Gonna take a swing and say the power of Spider-Mania will propel it almost 30 million.

Anonymous

The enigmatic screen presence of Dakota Johnson will draw in only the finest group of cinephiles.

verygooster

I can see this doing $28m with like a huge drop off the next week Haven’t seen the movie but find it hilarious Sony jammed a PSP into it when it’s set in 2003 and PSP didn’t come here till 2005.

Dan sulin

The problem comes down to the fact that Spider-mans extended universe of characters only really stay interesting when they hang out with Spider-man.

Michael Daniels

Going for close to 30 mil because I think people's horniness+interest at seeing the train wreck will win out.

Anonymous

She signed with a new talent agency after the trailer dropped

Mark Ibarra

I'm just happy to have a vote that counts for something this year!

Bryce Zubriski

Man, must be nice to be able to just decide that the weekend is 6 whole days. I think regardless of how it does this “weekend” it is going to fall off a cliff next actual weekend.

Anonymous

I was kind of curious when they first announced it in a, "how they hell are they gonna pull this off" way. The trailers killed all desire to see it completely. The reviews have made me want to actively avoid it.

Anonymous

We may look back on this movie and realize it was a herald of the end times, but the first of the four horsemen, Morbius, grossed 74 mil domestic and 168 worldwide and it doesn't even have spider people in it. No way Madame Morbs gets under 50 mil

Anonymous

Wouldnt that Morbius value be *total* and not opening weekend? Or is that how much Morbius grossed over the first 3 days?

Ed Harris

Under 20 mil. I just don't think the interest is there.

Damon LeCornu

I'm betting under $20 million. What happens if I can't pay up if I loose? Just for clarification...

Anonymous

You should look into the working conditions of the Spiderverse movies. 1. That wouldn't fly with live action movies for a wide range of reasons, and 2. I think we should minimize that type of filmmaking as much as possible

DrPym82

This will never clear a Morbillion dollars, that's for damn sure.

Anonymous

A three-day weekend with not great weather could give it a boredom boost this weekend. I think it'll just barely eek past 20mil.

Brad Mull

There’s nothing out, it’s why the bee keeper and wonka are still at the top of the box office. It’s also why bob marley is at 14 million. I guessed over $30, I think it will get there over the weekend but word of mouth will slow it right down after that

Anonymous

I was talking about the creative process and creative direction. The people writing and directing those movies seem to understand the Spiderman universe. I agree that animation mills should not be the norm.

Anonymous

I went to see it yesterday, because I was off, on my birthday. Granted it was a 1:30pm show, but there were about 4 other people in there with me. Overheard one guy say it wasn't worth the free ticket he got. Seeing is believing in the audience factor, but I still went with 20 million, none of my female friends are interested in it, and it's not quite horny enough for desperate men. ONly comic nerds like me seemed to be there.

Anonymous

I’ve only seen the trailer once. Mind you, I don’t watch tv. But I rarely come across anything online for it. It almost feels like it’s being hidden.

Anonymous

Welp I'm an idiot, totally missed the word weekend there lol yeah no shot that's hitting 20 mil

Mark D Myers

I'm seeing it next week. No spoilers!

Ajax

I've never seen so many camrips used for memes. People aren't paying for this one.

Anonymous

Who knows! Maybe the Valentine’s Day crowd of folks who secretly hate their partners came out in droves :D

Alex Klopfenstein

I was going off of worldwide box office that probably wasn't the idea
