On this month's We Love Movies, the guys are chatting about a total all-timer from Michael Mann, Collateral! How completely unappealing does Jamie Foxx's business proposal sound? How cool are those eerie coyotes? Has Michael Mann ever had a film with bad music? And where does this movie land in our Mann Standings? PLUS: Look out for a whole lotta... interesting Minion talk!

Collateral stars Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx, Jada Pinkett Smith, Mark Ruffalo, Bruce McGill, Peter Berg, Irma P. Hall, Barry Shabaka Henley, Debi Mazar, and Javier Bardem; directed by Michael Mann.

I love the remake Stuber

Tom Cruise runs on screen = to quote Blank Check, "he do run"

I love this movie - saw it in theaters when I was 16 and it's part of what helped get me into jazz. Just a hell of a smart, thought provoking psychological thriller. Can't wait to see whatcha guys will do to it! :)

This is FOR SURE one of the funniest We Love Movies ever, hell one of the funniest podcasts yall have ever created in my opinion. Had a fucking grand time. Ready for the Unhingedmentary! I 🤣

Minions I lost it

John Harrison

I have to admit I simply took Jason Statham in this movie as playing his Transporter character, just a courier who knows to keep his mouth shut and doesn't ask questions (until the events in the first movie)

Happy Birthtime!

Have you guys seen The Offer? Giovanni Ribisi is basically playing the Penguin in that. Not sure if it’s a fat suit or all his own work but he’s definitely wearing less makeup than Colin Farrell

Matt

You guys should do a WLM for the new horror movie X.

What a 44 magnum would do to a minions pussy... I laughed so fucking hard it hurt, well done

Guys, I NEVER leave comments but wanted to say a huge "thank you" for covering this awesome fucking movie. Was pumped to see it when it hit the shelf at Blockbuster (💔) as a lonely teen who watched amazing movies with no one to share them with. Hearing this episode scratched a deep itch I'd always had to just revel in how well-crafted this movie is and how well it holds up! Jurassic Park being released as a WLM was obviously super enjoyable, but you guys covering Collateral (or any more of Mann's stuff please!) is what keeps me a loyal Patreon subscriber no matter how fucked the economy is. Much love from the depths of hell/Florida!

I feel like I have to defend my love of this movie a lot. It flows along like a beautiful song you just can’t turn off. Great episode!
