Hey y'all, hope everyone had a cool and safe weekend! If you were "lucky" enough to be dealing with this heatwave here in the states, we're right there with you! But hey, what better way to beat the heat than hide in your house, office, or car; blast the A/C, and kick back with some pods? We've got you covered this week in the WHMu, so let's take a look!

First up tomorrow, in honor of the new "Who Asked for This?" sequel coming out soon, we're chatting about the action comedy sequel no one wanted to make, Beverly Hills Cop III! Yes, the one where we're replacing Taggart with a character that's just exactly Taggart, but now play by the great Hector Elizondo! It's also the BHC flick with the hilarious George Lucas cameo! You'll be able to hear our take on this one right here on Patreon AD-FREE at the $8 level and up!

On Thursday, we're opening our Star Wars Gleep Glossary back up to chat about the below-average Jedi who very few remember, Nichos Marr! He was just another meat sack who sacrificed himself for the good of Luke Skywalker and you can hear us learn all about him here on Patreon at the $8 level and up!

And on Friday, we're wrapping up the week by closing the curtain on a series and a character (mostly) on The Nexus! That's right, this month we reach the end of the line for both TOS and the end of regular appearances of Chris Cabin's favorite ensign, Wesley Crusher, on TNG! Be sure you stick around until the very end of the episode because we announce on the air what direction the show is taking starting next month! And you can find out where we're going next at the $8 level and up!

That'll just about do it for this week, folks! Be sure to snag your tickets for our upcoming worldwide digital experience, happening July 18 at 9pm/et where we're talking about one of the all-time greats, Speed! And if we don't see you later today for On-Screen Live, have a great week and stay cool! As always, much thanks for your continued support as our kick-ass army of Patreon subscribers!

Take it easy,

i got a soft spot for BHC3, since it was filmed here in the bay area at (formerly Paramount's) California's Great America theme park...plus i like the orchestrated version of the Axel F theme.

My secret shame is I saw BHC 3 in the theater.

Fingers crossed for DS9 on the nexus... The possibilities for voices there are endless

About the only admirable thing Ol' Chopper Landis consistently did over his career was feature directors and otherwise unsung Hollywood legends in bit cameos. Can't wait til WHM (possibly) gets to The Stupids.

I will be listening for this episode's discussion of Lucas's cameo with great interest.

Fun Fact: Beverly Hills Cop 3 was filmed in Paramount’s Great America theme park in Santa Clara, California. It’s located next to the SF 49ers’ stadium. It’s no longer a Paramount theme park. It’s just a theme park now, and it’s due to close down in a few years. This was the last of the Paramount-themed amusement parks, with rides like The Top Gun roller coaster ride and Days of Thunder simulation ride. They had a Star Trek: TNG section with actors in costumes walking around and the TNG theme song blaring in the background. It was so cool.

i believe it's in 10 years. I'mma miss it, even if I haven't been to GA in damn near 20 years, lol. I did go a lot as a kid though. I loved Top Gun, the Edge, Dropzone, and days of thunder. I vaguely remember the trek section...I do remember the Nickalodean stuff.

That ferris wheel type of ride that Axel Foley was hanging on in one of the action set pieces—I went on that ride several times as a kid, and it used to scare the f out of me cause it would sway up in the air.
