In a Dense Forest near Haven...

BOOOM!!!

"Lionheart, you better be offering more, dammit..."

The voice of a young man cursed before aiming a futuristic revolver with his right arm towards a flying Nevermore, skillfully letting his target move into his sights before firing a perfect shot to the head, causing it to crash onto the ground before him.

The dense forest gave the man a perfect camouflage, as only a black figure moved along the forest.

Hearing a dozen footsteps that definitely were not human near him, he turned his head to see a pack of Beowolves, along with an Alpha, growling at him for entering their territory.

"Please, you migrated here just a few months ago. You should be thanking me for clearing the damn place for you."

The young man quipped before raising his free hand to a watch on his other hand, pressing on a button.

"Alright, I'll play along with you, for 10 seconds at most."

[Beep! START UP!]

The watch sounded before beeping, revealing the number 3.

Getting into a more free pose fit for both combat and running, he waits for the countdown. The Beowolves stood their ground, growling at him as if daring him to make a move.

[3...]

He takes a quick intake of air. The Alpha Beowolf sensed that something was wrong, so it barked, ordering its pack top attack.

[2...]

The Beowolf pack pounced at him, but just a few meters before their jaws sink into the human, a glow of red and yellow surrounded his body in an aura-like glow. He raised his left hand and fists it.

[1...]

He grins before feeling the effect instantly.

"Pleasure doing business with you, Prof."

The young man grins as he watched the number on his Scroll increase. The man he was talking to, just had a sad chuckle at his money being drained by the young boy.

"I-It's no problem at all, Obsidian. After all, only a Huntsman of your caliber could take out 3 Nevermores, two packs of Beowolves, and a large Ursa Major pack in under t-twenty minutes. The staff of Haven Academy thanks you for your hard work."

Waving the thanks off, he ignored the stutters of the man, as he was always the stuttering one. Still makes him wonder how in the hell was Lionheart applicable for the job, though.

Eh, wasn't his place to care. Maybe the dude was amazing at killing the Grimm.

Before he entered the elevator of the office that they were in, he looked behind to ask the Headmaster himself a question.

"Hey, prof. Do you know where my Dad is?"

"A-Ah, well..."

The man took a second to think of that question before answering.

"I've heard he went back to Beacon for the V-Vytal Festival, so..."

Obsidian looked at the Headmaster before him.

The man was sweating bollocks, and he stuttered when he mentioned the Vytal Festival.

As a person trained in espionage, this was super suspicious, but he didn't immediately ask about it. With a grin, he thanked the man before walking away with a finger salute.

Sensing something was amiss, he decided to head to Beacon and tell this face-to-face instead of sending this info through the CCT, since there was something wrong with the CTT.

Oh, his Dad was there too, so it was a plus.

Besides, he'll find it out anyways.

One way or another.

"Now that was a match!"

A bartender who was watching the Vytal Festival's 4v4 match whistled, amazed by the talent this year, but was immediately brought back to reality as a voice with a light slur voiced out.

"Heh, that was a mess!"

The bartender looked at the man in front of his bar before shaking his head.

"Come on man, you didn't like them, the Vale kids, or any of the rounds before that? What fight are you here for?"

Before the drunk man could answer that question, another patron with a cloak sat beside the drunk, out of nowhere, before giving the bartender a hefty amount of Lien.

"Here, for this drunk, dusty crow."

The bartender raised his eyebrow in confusion before the drunk man looked to his left.

"Sid! Job's done?"

Seeing that this young man knew his other patron, the bartender took the money before giving the change back.

"Thanks. And yeah, headed here straight after Lionheart's and Ironwood's missions. Took a chunk of my Aura, but I'll live."

The young man gave his signature grin before an aircraft with elegant ribbons flying from its wings behind him. As if it was a wake-up call, the drunk man stood up before grabbing the inactive great sword beside him, walking away from the bar towards the ship.

The young man stared at the man before groaning.

"Hey, give me a light drink? And to go, pronto, please."

Whatever his old man was thinking while drunk, it is definitely never good.

CRACK!

Now drenched in alcohol, he just grabbed another card of Lien before giving it to the apologizing bartender.

"Chill, it's not your fault. It was his Semblance at work."

Ugh, and now he had to change. Dammit, he just washed his cloak of blood just a few days ago...

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The two Huntsmen went on, with destruction in their wake with every move they made.

The two got into their stances, for one final draw of the blade. Qrow activated his mecha-shift weapon, Harbinger's second form, its scythe mode, while Winter brought out her full force with a small blizzard erupting from her Glyph Semblance.

""Arghhh!!"

They yelled out their battle cries and dashed towards each other. and swung their blades. But before they could clash blades...

"""???"""

Everyone who were watching the duel, even the participants, stared at the individual holding onto both of the duelists' blades with his hands' fingers.

[CLOCK OVER...]

He stared both of them down.

"I think everyone should... "chill" out."

That prompted a grin to grow from the before serious face of the cloaked person, letting go of the blades. Reluctantly, they withdrew their weapons and sheathed them as the hooded figure pushed his hood back, revealing a young face with a scar under his left eye.

"Come on, Sid, I was just about to beat her ass..."

Ignoring his Dad's words, his grin widened as he walked close to the Specialist.

"Why hello there, Princess. Missed me?"

Her scowl increased in intensity.

"Brawnen..."

She voiced her disgust very evidently, to which he just patted his hand on her shoulder, to which she shrugged away.

"Take a "chill pill", Princess. Here, dinner on me. I'll make sure to get a place with full "air-con" blast — "

Before he could finish, he turned upon sensing something fast approaching him.

"SIDIAN!"

He gave out an "oof" as Ruby Rose tackled him, hugging him tightly. With the attention of the Princess now forgotten and moved to his "sister", he looked at her cute face.

"Did you miss me, did you miss me?!"

She asked with bright silver eyes staring back at his dark black ones.

"Hmm... Nope!"

He said with a grin before ruffling her hair, shaking his head at her cuteness.

"You tackled your cousin and not your uncle, Ruby?"

In a blink of an eye, Ruby transferred to his Dad, hugging his arm as he brought her up to eye-level with a raise of his hand.

Obsidian blinked at the sight of Ironwood, Ozpin, and Glynda near his Dad. He really needed to work on his tunnel vision.

"Uncle Qrow! Miss me?!"

The old man had his face on his chin before replying.

"Nope."

Chuckling at the same reply, he watched as Glynda had the "come hither" glare, causing him to sigh. Even if he hated it, he still needed to work, darn it.

Who else would make enough to pay for Yang's property damage?
