CHAPTER 2

-

Making sure to avoid Aunt May's eyes, he let her check on him the moment they entered their — her house. She must be shocked by the malnutrition and the wounds on his face from the Scorpion that were still not fully healed due to not having enough food.

"P-Peter, what happened?"

She inspects him from head to toe once more before her eyes landed on the Spider Suit under his shabby hoodie that he took. She gasps for a moment, shocked, before her eyes shifted to dread and concern, quickly getting a first aid kit.

"... So, you're from another dimension?"

He looked up shocked.

"Don't look at me like that. I know a different Peter when I see one. Mine has blond hair and is much older."

He blinks before muttering a "Huh."

A blond Peter Parker. That was really weird, especially since his black hair was at the other end of the color spectrum.

She starts dabbing alcohol to disinfect the wound, causing him to flinch, but not making a sound, before putting a clean band-aid on the wound.

"Take off the suit, Peter. I need to check your body for any more injuries."

That caused him to hesitate for a second, not wanting to let her see the horrors of his body before reluctantly agreeing, taking off his hoodie and top part of his suit which were quite damaged, he just realized.

He made a mental note to get more spandex material, he had a hole on his chest that could show his nipple for crying out loud.

He was thin as a stick, sure his spider-genes gifting him muscles like a clean 6-pack and biceps, but he was still very thin from eating only one meal a day. One thing about his powers that he doesn't like is that he had to eat twice as much as a normal human to be satisfied, bad especially when he's tight on funding, that mostly went to his web fluid.

Aunt May just stared in despair at the severe malnutrition and bruises before quickly bandaging them.

"P-Peter..."

She held back tears as Peter winces at the display. Respectfully, he hugged her, patting her back as she sobs on his chest.

"I'm fine, Aunt May. It's nothing much."

He whispered as he eventually fell asleep from exhaustion and hungry while hugging on her tight, not wanting to let go of his Aunt.

Waking up in a nice soft bed was a chance of pace, especially when he usually sleeps on his waterproof sleeping bag that offered little to no cushion at all.

Groaning, he gets up before his eyes shot open as he turned and looked at a blonde man staring at him.

His spider-senses started to tingle as he gulped nervously.

"You're me."

The other Peter just continued to stare at him before he just sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"... Multidimensional travelling... Matter displacement... Either Goblin or Doc Ock..."

His voice sounded practically the same except that his was deeper... That felt weird.

"Don't forget Vulture and Mysterio too. Those guys are surprisingly smart
in technologies."

Blonde Peter just nodded as he sat on the seat next to Aunt May — Wait, seat?

He looked around to see that he was in a room, his room, specifically, but it was barren. And from the looks outside the window, it was currently dusk. And he wasn't wearing his Suit anymore. He was now wearing a loose t-shirt along with shorts that were snug.

"He's married."

Peter short-circuits and just looked at Aunt May in shock.

"Ma-Married? You mean "rings and honeymoons marriage"?"

Aunt May looked at Blonde Peter, tilting her head, causing Peter to sigh in annoyance, it looked like a regular thing, before raise his hand to reveal a silver ring.

... Woah... Blonde Peter gets married. Wait, that meant that he, Peter Parker, gets married. Damn, that was mind-blowing.

"Who?!"

"Mary Jane."

Blonde Peter said sheepishly as Peter blinks in confusion.

"... You mean Flash's girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson? How in the world did you score her?"

Now it was Blonde Peter's turn to look confused.

"What? MJ, she's our neighbor. We met since we were kids. And Flash didn't date her at all, he dated Liz until graduation."

What? Doesn't she live near the school — Oh... Multiverse.

"String Theory, your universe is similar, but isn't the same as mine."

That caused Blonde Peter to think for a second before nodding in understatement.

"Parallel universes could arise from different configurations of the strings, I see..."

Aunt May just huffs before muttering somewhere along the lines of "Peter Talks", before getting out of the room.

"For more tea."

The door closes as they looked at each other for a while before Blonde Peter asks the question.

"... I became Spider-Man because of Uncle Ben. You?"

"... Ben and May... They died from a robber when I was trying to get some cash."

Peter chokes out the words as Blond Peter's eyes widened before looking at him with pity. He gets up before placing his hand on his shoulder,

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be, you're not the one who did it."

"... And the one who did it?"

That caused Peter to stop before muttering the words that inspired him.

"With great power —"

"— Comes great responsibility."

Blonde Peter ends the sentence as they looked at each other, understanding each one's pain before Blonde Peter sits down on the bed next to him, Peter briefly flinching at the sudden drop of the bed.

"... I've seen your Suit. Pretty good. Especially your web shooters, compact yet powerful. What did you do to them?"

Blonde Peter changes subjects.

"Uh... Well, I just made them with comfort and compactness in mind, but I've found that a high tensile web is more suitable — "

By the time they were finished talking about their Suits and gear, it was already almost midnight. They lost track of time, it seems. The door creaks open to reveal Aunt May along with a beautiful auburn-haired woman.

"Peter, it's already time — "

Her eyes landed on his before she freezes, causing Blonde Peter to mutter an "Uh oh.".

"I forgot to tell her about you."

He mouthed as the woman closed the distance between them and looked at his face closely. Her hand cups his chin as she inspected him.

"... Wow, you look exactly like Peter."

She voiced it aloud, playing with black hair as Blonde Peter coughed into his mouth, snapping her out of her thoughts. With wide eyes, she looked at the source.

"Er... MJ, meet Peter. Peter, MJ. He's... Kinda me, but younger and clearly with less majestic hair like mine."

Blonde Peter quips, and before Peter could think his thoughts through, he asked Peter.

"Woah, we marry her in the future?"

Realizing what he just uttered out, his face burned as he heard MJ's giggle. He immediately covered himself in his blanket as he starts banging his head on the bed.

Him and his darn mouth!

"... Yeah, it's a long, long story, MJ. How about we talk while we get supper?"

Devouring the meatloaf, he ignored the looks that they gave him as he swallowed before reaching out to grab another one, but was denied when Aunt May slaps his hand away.

"Manners, Peter."

Sheepishly grinning, he takes the fork on the table before stabbing the meatloaf, dragging it to his plate.

"So... You all know about this?"

Peter asked as he points at the spider logo on his Suit that was hanging from the chair, prompting a sigh from MJ.

"Yes, I do."

"And..."

He vaguely asked about her opinion about it.

"... I still don't like seeing Peter in danger, but I know that he has to do it."

She ends the conversation quickly, causing Blonde Peter to slump his shoulders as Peter mouthed a "Sorry".

Finishing his meal, he grabbed his Suit on the chair and was about to head out for a patrol, his usual routine, when Aunt May stopped him.

"And where are you going, young man?"

Blinking in confusion, he just mutters.

"Patrolling?"

He asked, as if it was common to patrol in the middle of the night, to which Aunt May glares at him.

"No, you're not, Peter. You're hurt."

Subconsciously reaching out to his left rib, he waves it off.

"I'll be fine, I took on worse — "

Her glare intensifies as Blonde Peter fake coughs in his hand, drawing their attention.

"How about, you rest for now, and then we go out on a patrol once you're fully healed?"

Peter hesitates for a second, thinking about it before sighing.

"Fine, but where am I going to sleep — "

BANG!

The door slams shut as Peter was alone in his room, with fresh clothes and a midnight snack in his hands. Staring at the door, he voiced out his opinion.

"Really, Aunt May?"

CLICK!

That was the lock to the door... And the window was locked too.

... Darn. Aunt May in this universe was really cool.

"Well... At least there's a computer here..."

He mutters to himself before sitting on the chair. Time to hack the government, get an ID along with an unsuspecting background, get into that school, maybe get a scholarship on the way or something... And he had to do it in one night since the test admissions were the next day.

"Sigh... This is going to be a long, long night..."
