CHAPTER 2

-

"Can’t believe it’s been more than a decade now..."

Sin muttered in a chuckle as he walked to his job since it was so close to the school.

Wearing a tight black shirt and brown pants since even Japan’s XL doesn't fit him well, he pulls on his blue tie before continuing his way to the school, with a hand in his pocket while the other was carrying his leather bag.

Ever since he arrived in this universe, he was so tempted to speed run his education, but decided to relax a little until he was ready. But he however did speed run his training.

You should have seen the damage that he'd done to the training room in the basement in the early months of learning magic or unleashing his Dragon Install, you'd think that the apocalypse came from all the explosions and damages.

He was so thankful that Perfermos made it self-repairable.

And he was so not going to use Dragon Install. It was super weird. He could count the number of uses with his fingers and toes!

Wearing his earphones, he took out his CelestPod, which was basically an iPod but for celestial beings, before tapping on his personal playlist.

I... see the Circle!

Ay yay yay yay...

Ay yay yay yay...

I... see the Circle!

Ay yay yay yay...

Ay yay yay yay!

... CIRCLE!

Singing the song in silence, he reached the school.

"Morning, Takashi-san!"

He greeted the guard of the gate, a middle-aged man who he met almost 3 years ago.

Oh, right. He skipped some years of his university days since he actually miscalculated. Who knew that getting a diploma and degree being a teacher took about 4 years plus?

He respected teachers from then on at that point.

So, he skipped a year of diploma and another year of degree to grab his degree, and then immediately sending his resume to Kuoh Academy.

Somehow, he got accepted, and has been teaching for almost 3 years now.

His subject? Math of course! Contrary to popular belief, math was cool as heck, man! Numbers and shit. But seriously, he loved math. Not additional math though, that shit sucked in both his past and current life. No, no. He was talking about normal math. Variables and geometry, now that rocks!

"Oh, morning, Kiske-san!"

He greeted back with a smile. Man, this guy was like a teddy bear, he liked him a lot, no homo.

Waving, he entered the school.

"Morning, Shitori-san!"

Sin greeted the Student Council President the moment she entered the classroom, prompting her to bow at him.

"Good morning, sensei."

"So early today? Sigh... More should follow your example."

He said as he looked at the empty seats. Well, he couldn't blame them, it was only 6 a.m. sharp, after all.

Placing her schoolbag on her chair, she grabs what she needed, her stationary, books, and her phone, bowing once again before leaving for the Student Council Room.

So diligent, as expected from Sona Sitri.

Man, but she's really cute, especially her butt. You could bounce a quarter off of that ass.

Shaking his head with a chuckle, he thinks back about his Gear Anatomy.

From what he had experimented, the Gear Cell Suppressor on his eye could suppress 100% of his Gear powers, and he could adjust the gauge by thinking about it mentally since it was directly connected to his eye.

The benefit of Gear Anatomy was one, he had rapid regeneration, it could heal a bullet wound in a matter of seconds.

Two, his physical capabilities were enhanced at least 20 times at using 10%.

However, when it comes to magic, his Gear powers weren’t that proficient in. He reckoned that it was due to his experience, but it took almost a decade to master fire and lightning spells from the book he got.

And Dragon Install… Ugh, he hates going to Dragon Install.

When he releases all 100% of his Gear Suppressor Cell, bad things happen. From the screaming of primal instincts to unprecedented anger and hatred, it’s like releasing a demon in Gear skin. But it is still his most powerful move since all his parameters go up by 100 times.

Ruffling his blonde spiky hair, he sighs before taking out the required material for today since it was almost time for his class.

He currently was suppressing his Gear side at 100%, through his Gear Cell Suppressor, and he plans to let it stay that way until the plot starts.

He just hopes that nothing bad happens to fuck the plot before he gets involved...

... Eh, whatever. Whatever happens, happens, who cares. He had a class with intelligent students to prepare for.

"So, who can tell me the answer of this solid?"

He asked the class as he showed the model that he made with his blood, sweat, and tears. It was the combination of a cone connected to a cylinder via Velcro.

"The height of the cone is 25.4 centimeters, and the radius is 7.6 centimeters. The height of the cylinder, however, is 20.3 centimeters. Find the volume of the entire solid please."

He asked while writing the specifications of the sizes on the board for the students, turning back to watch them scribble on their books, trying to find the answer.

Hehehe, he purposely added decimals to make mistakes! He was so evil, hehehehe —

"5,219.95 centimeters cube, sir."

Sona answered the question with her hand in the air.

... Ah, right.

"Correct, nice work, Shitori-san! Now, for those who didn't get it in time..."

Darn her! She solved that in under 10 seconds! That was so not fair!

"... So if you plus 1536.35 with 3683.6, you'll get 5219.95. Get it, everyone?"

He finishes the explanation to the question as he could see most of the students nod their head while some others were still looking at their equations, while all the devils in this class had already finished their equations and got the answers long before he finished.

Man, devils were so not fair, he mentally noted as he remembered the students who didn't get it before moving on.

"If there are any questions, just message me, alright? You all know my number."

He concluded the class, cleaning up his things before zipping his bag. Next class was Class 1-C.

"And remember that you all have extra classes later today! Chemistry, suck to be you guys."

He joked before leaving the classroom.

"Phew... Man, smart kids are scary."

He mutters quietly, thinking back to the immediate answer solving of the 4 devils in the class, they were answering his questions in under 20 seconds tops, which was scary.

He needs to up his game and make harder question... Sigh, there goes another day of making new questions...

Walking to his class, he ignored the class that he had to pass through, Class 2-B, as the sounds of girls joyfully gossiping when they saw him made him second doubt his decision of even working here. Women these days...

But alas, this school was the best in Japan... He somehow doubts that, but it was true. The school had an average student CGPA of 3.78 in all years, and there were countless successful students that went out and became famous and well-known in the world.

Who doesn't want to work in a prestigious school? And the benefits were AMAZING. An annual salary of $120,000 a year, state-of-the-art medical benefits, crazy holidays during school breaks, and a 10% discount for anything in Kuoh.

Like he said, AMAZING.

Cracking his neck for relief, he opens the 1-C classroom door before entering.

"Hey, kids. Morning."

He heard back greetings as he took out their classes' material to teach for today. Looking at the students, he noticed Toujou Koneko who had her famous emotionless face, but he could see some hint of happiness in her eyes, though short-lived.

Waving at her, he makes sure to remember to give her the usual sweets that he always gave every day after classes before starting his lesson.

It was a routine now, to be honest. Every day, he would give her a sweet whenever they met depending on the day. Mondays and Wednesdays were chocolate, Tuesdays and Thursdays were sweets, and Fridays were both.

That seemed to connect the two as she would usually come to his place in the staff room for homework advice and what not, which he would help as best as he could.

For some reason though, the teachers tried this approach after Sin gave them his advice, but she would only go to Sin, which prompted the teachers to stop trying.

To be frank, what kind of teacher would just stop trying like that? Teachers should try their best to help their students even if they don't want it!

"Even if it was a brick wall, you must be persistent! It will work out!

That was his motto.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he cleared his throat before explaining about Simultaneous Equations and how to do them.
