For F13 Part 2:

*Note: Another one I had to watch on Starz, which doesn't give you the seconds count in movies for some reason.

1: Watch intro, then start movie after first cut to black.

2: Watch until about the 20 min mark (Slingshot to the booty) , then watch the
                                 2nd segment.

3: Watch until about the 33 min mark (Dog in danger!), then watch the 3rd
                                  segment.

4: Watch until about the 44 min mark (Sinsister Shadow...), then watch the 4th
                                  segment.

5: Watch until about the 57 min mark ("I'll be right back!"), then watch the 5th
                                   segment.

6: Watch until about the 1:05:00 mark (Knife Kill), then watch the 6th segment.

7: Watch until about the 1:15:00 mark (Chair Shot), then watch the 7th
                                  segment.

Watch the end of the movie, then come back for JB's wrap-up.

My Thoughts:

Friday the 13th is my very favorite series so I couldn't wait to see what he had to say about these! I was more familiar with the marathon so it's interesting to see him just focus on these two. (I think Kevin Bacon has come around to claiming his Friday the 13th beginnings now. ;)

This is also the first post in these archives to feature a visit from Honey the Mail Girl. (Looking fire AF...any wonder why I was super intimated to have to follow in her bra straps...err, "foot steps"? (JB would be proud of that joke. ;)

I got to meet Honey (the only MG allowed to use her real name!) at one of JB's shows a lil' bit before lockdown happened. I was SO NERVOUS (and afraid she wouldn't dig my cosplay tribute to her), but she turned out to be incredibly sweet. She hung out with my fam and we all went out to Cheesecake Factory the next day! :) #goodtimes

You sure about the date on this one? The voiceover guy kept saying "Back to MonsterVision host Joe Bob Briggs on Friday the 13th". Cinemassacre shows the only time these two movies aired on a Friday the 13th was September 13, 1996. Here's their listing for this date... July 18, 1998 (Saturday) – Joe Bob’s Summer School: Philosophy Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994) – 10:30 PM The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) – 1:25 AM Guest(s) – Wes Craven 100% Weird – Voodoo Island (1957) – 4:00 AM

Oh no... Is the video missing for anyone else?

I taped the Monstervision marathon of Friday the 13th Pts. 1-3 and watched it over and over and over... :)

Video is missing for me too.

Oh crap! I hope it wasn't my bad. Pointing out the discrepancies in the air date. Die-anna, I hope you didn't take it down because of that. Please ease my conscious and say it ain't so.

This was my first time seeing either. Edited on TNT with the great JBB taking me/us through everything

This was such a fun time! I'm so glad you're doing this! The time stamps are amazing!!!!! 😍

Maybe it was JB, maybe it was just the right level of work distraction, but this was the third time I've seen the original Friday the 13th, and the first time I actually really enjoyed it. For whatever reason, the first film never did it for me, so I never saw any other movie in the franchise. I'm very eager to watch II, now. Especially since Shudder also has an article about it in this week's The Bite.

Joe Bob: “Some women find me attractive.” Honey: *look of shock*

"Uh, oh..... We've got at least 4 people about to make the sign of the triple gilled attack Walrus" Joe Bob you almost made me spit my Lone Star all over my computer in laughter!! Jason does not discriminate. No wheelchair will save you!

For some reason. In my 45 years, I had never got around to watching these. Another fine evening with joe bob

I legit love that the dialogue for the first movie is almost verbatim to the dialogue he gave for the marathon. All the jokes and everything. I just watched the marathon this past Thursday the 12th so it's super fresh in my mind as I watch this. Really digging going through all of these after recently signing up for the Patreon. Thanks for all you're doing Darcy!
