8: Watch movie until 1:37:10, then start 8th segment, which leads right into the
                          next movie.

For "The Fury":  *NOTE: I had to watch this one on Starz, which doesn't give you the seconds count for some reason, so this is as close as I could get right now. Will update when I get JB's notebooks. (See the post about "Time Codes" for more info on that. :)

1: Watch intro, then start the movie after first cut to black.

2: Watch until about 18:00 (Amy Irving gets called a creep), then start 2nd
                          segment.

3: Watch until about 35:00 (The cops watch the cars sink), then start 3rd segment.

4: Watch until about 41:00 (Kirk Douglas is nekkid in a van), then start 4th segment.

5: Watch until about 52:00 (Blood drips onto a piece of paper), then start 5th
                          segment.

6:  Watch until about 1:05:00 (Bloody corpse on the table), then start 6th segment.

7: Watch until about 1:22:00 (Killer carnival ride), then start 7th segment.

                      8.  Watch until about 1:34:00 ("That's a promise."), then start 8th segment.

                      9. Watch until about 1:43:00 ("FASTER!!!"), then start the final The Fury segment.

After the movie ends, come back for JB's final wrap up.

My Thoughts:

This is presented in its OG form as a double feature. While both movies are definite cl-ass-sicks, I was especially interested to hear what he had to say about Phantasm 2, since that was the one we didn't get to show when we did our Phantasm Christmas Marathon on The Last Drive-In. (He sure does hate gratuitous Hemi Cuda brutality... ;)

Here's a couple pics from that XXX-mass special...one of my favorite moments on the show so far! :)

Wow. I remember watching Phantasm II on Monstervision as a kid. Thank you for allowing me to revisit a great childhood memory. It is truly an awesome thing you are doing.

That last line! So mean, yet I choked on my drink laughing.

Huge thank you to darcy for taking the time to get these estimated time codes. having such a good time with these posts! Reggie was one of my favorite guests to date on The Last Drive In and I actually didnt mind the lack of christmas theme the first year. Phantasm is always a good time, especially if you watch it with someone who hasn't seen it yet. The WTFs that occur on their faces XD

Lot of nostalgia for the Joe Bob's Last Call graphics. I knew it was laaaate when they switched to those.

Oh my lord, that letter lmao

OMG I wish Joe Bob could tell jokes like that on Shudder. Just his jokes are worth the Patreon subscription 🤣

This was amazing. And I agree, that letter was out of this world. After getting so used to the nice sweet letters we've been getting on Last Drive-In, for that to have been the first letter I was reintroduced to on Monstervision certainly sent me for a loop.

The Fury was a lot of fun! Been meaning to watch that for years!

Unreal. I remember watching this episode with my dad. I believe it was a re-run when I saw it because it aired Halloween night. At the time I thought this was the coolest horror movie I had ever seen besides the original Phantasm. This exact episode will forever be one of my favorite early youth memories:) Thanks for uploading this it makes me super happy lol. Phantasm is my #1 favorite horror franchise. So hilarious and bizarre.

Definitely lots of LOL moments from this episode. "Free your mind and your 🐴 will follow" "Human Tetherballs", and yeah, the punchline on that last joke. 🤣🤣🤣
