Here we have special guest Frank Henenlotter hanging with JB as they present the first two Basket Case movies. (Baby Belial even drops by to help! :)

I got to reunite these real-life buddies for an ep of my podcast (Geek Tawk). It was amazing just listening to these legends sitting around shootin' the shit! I'll post that on here at some point, but if'n you're hankerin' to hear it now you can check it out on Spotify or Soundcloud.

On a bummer note (sorry), a moment of silence for the extraordinary Ms. Beverly Bonner, who passed away in the Hell Year that was 2020. :( #RIP

(The bridge between the movies is at 5:30:01)

Awesome interview!! It would be a blast if any of the Basket Case movies we're shown on The Last Drive In. The quality of these restores is also fantastic!

They played the first Basket Case on the initial marathon!

These clips are so great! I remember watching this that night, good memories! I anxiously await any and all clips from the 1980s, love some early Joe Bob! Hopefully the Roger Corman and Bruce Campbell interviews from the 80s Drive-In Theater can be located; I never got to see them, but I remember reading about them. It would also be great to see the very first episodes of Drive-In Theater, where Joe Bob was sort of guesting on the show. Thanks for taking on this huge project! -Marty

Hey! Unfortunately, the link is showing up as removed for me. Any chance we might be able to try a re-upload? Thanks for all your hard work, Darcy!

Awesome video. 35,000 in 1982 would be $96,858.96 That's a damn impressive film on that budget

Embarrassingly enough, I only saw Basket Case (and Hellraiser 😬) for the first time when they were on the first Last Drive in Marathon! I confess I was a little scared to watch the two of them for years. I am caught up at this point, and a much happier human for it. Anguish was a GREAT movie! It was another one I took a long time to see (the cover art freaked me out . . . Zelda Rubenstein with a red spiral superimposed over her face). It was very clever and the intensity of it bordered on unbearable at some points, and yet, similar to the original Texas Chainsaw, very little on screen violence. I know this is on Shudder . . . can I please put in a request for Frankenhooker as a future Last Drive In episode? I did finally see it, and I could not stop laughing for pretty much the entire last twenty minutes.

Incredible that the budget for the og classic was only $35k
