Ahoy My Gorgeous Seekers! 🍦
A warm welcome to all the new Patrons who hopped in to join our adventure! We are thrilled to have you! Hope that May is generous for all of you 🥰 As usual, I’m coming to you with last month’s updates on our progress!

🔧 Technical Update

We’ve got the opening game part working which includes a game intro sketch, menu navigation and a tutorial scene to familiarize players with the mechanics. We're excited about integrating a spicy minigame into the main flow, and we are now fine-tuning the experience. In the meantime, the Tech team is prototyping the minigames for the demo, and solving a bunch of backend jobs to ensure everything sails smoothly ⛵

🧙‍♂️ Team Update

We're thrilled to introduce a new addition to our team – an amazing and talented Unity programmer Serg! Their skills and efficiency have been remarkable, and they have been instrumental in pushing the development forward at an impressive pace. Additionally, our Live2D rigger Apulsauce, who has been working with us for some time, has now officially joined the team. They have been injecting life into the scenes, ensuring that characters come alive and convey emotions with fluid animations.


📝 Writing

Our writer Thorvald has been hard at work, tackling the challenging task of creating more choices and branching paths within the game's narrative. We've reached a crucial stage where the choices players make truly matter and impact the overall story. If you're interested, we would be delighted to share some snippets of the writing with you before the demo release. Let us know if you are curious! 👀

Based on the dialogues and the story we are slowly selecting the parts that will require extra imagery - to give you these visual novel vibes! 🎨 Lots of art is coming!

🎨 Art

Our art team has been diligently crafting the backgrounds for the map, ensuring that they incorporate hidden plot secrets. We are going through multiple rounds of feedback to make sure we are getting the right atmosphere before we move on to the next one. Once we sort out the general look and feel for all the locations, the final versions will be polished ✨

Maybe you can spot some frames hanging in the main hall! Soon we will be reaching out to our Patrons from the Exquisite Triple Shot Gingerbread Frappé ☕ tier to have some of your portraits in the game! Get your creative muscles ready! 🖼

Meanwhile, Eris is receiving special Captain's treatment to ensure she shines in her dialogue rig 👀👀👀 We're investing extra care and attention to detail to bring out her unique personality 🍈🍈 and make her interactions with players memorable.
