Greetings, courageous Spice Seekers!

   It’s that time of the month again! And we’ve got some exciting news to share with you: the Team is expanding! We are so happy to say that things have been progressing at lightning speed for the last few weeks! So, without further ado, let’s get to explore together what we’ve been up to this month! 👀

🔧 Technical Update

   ◾We cleaned up the existing code to make sure everything is future-proof. This is more important than it sounds because it means it shall save us a significant amount of time in a great deal of things in future in-game workarounds!

   ◾We’ve been developing tools for quality control of the game content: now we count on internal tools for reviewing writing, animations, and mechanics. Everything inside Unity so can remain structured and organized 🤓

   ◾Dialogs now support conversations with 1, 2, or 3 characters at once!

   ◾Characters can now appear and leave in the middle of the conversation in an organic way.

   ◾We delved into Lipsync integration for the dialogues screen but are not quite there yet. We feel the existing solutions don’t meet our quality standards. More research is needed 🧠

   ◾Game interface implementation is moving forward! Most of the UI placeholders are hot and ready!

   ◾We are moving forward with World Map and Events implementation. (A biggie indeed!)

📝 Writing

   Our writer, Thorvald, has been making great progress on the story of Soulgasm, and we're thrilled to be able to review it directly in Unity. This means the story is being added directly to the game engine, and thanks to our new review tools, we shall be able to play the dialogue as soon as they are written. We're now rushing to get the Game Demo story ready for you as soon as possible, and we hope you will love it just as much as we do!

🎨 Art

   With the World Map and Palace layout defined, we can now speedrun (And so we have been for the past weeks!) into preparing all the game location backgrounds to implement them as soon as possible in game. We start by defining placeholders in their current location with all functionalities needed to polish every single corner and bit to oblivion later on!

   In the meantime, Eris is being revisited and getting a more defined look while Nova is getting some moves and bouncing pesonalititties!! 👉🍈🍈👈

🧠 Final Thoughts

   It is so exciting and refreshing to see such an amount of progress appearing so suddenly and to finally get the feeling that Soulgasm is coming together as a game and fun experience. We get such a unique feeling when we playtest, read the dialogues and see the art coming together to build an intriguing and fun story.

   Now that we count on a more defined vision of the game world map, and after seeing so many backgrounds being so well-defined, we are SO excited to see how the world of Soulgasm is coming to life. The amount of details and stories we are hiding in each corner, waiting for you to discover them is something we are so thrilled about!

   We feel confident that the art will be one of the standout features of Soulgasm, and we can't wait for you to see it all come together!!

Oh, you bet she isn't shy when it comes to using her assets, my Seeker ;)) And you shall find Eris' story ingame, of course! (She's got one of my personal favorite stories, to be honest!) 😍😍😍
