WIP #9 - We Are Getting Places, and Soon You Will Too! (Patreon)

Greetings, lovely Spice Seekers! 🌸

A new week brings developments in Soulgasm! Our team has started working on the game locations, and our First Mate Skully is blocking out all the background artworks to have the most solid placeholders for developing the game as far and as soon as we can!

Without revealing too much, let us take you behind the scenes of this fun process!:

   We begin by creating a rough blockout of each area based on the layered map model we've previously prepared and decide what assets, elements and camera angles are the most adequate for the room/area.

🔼First Library concept brainstorm.

   Sometimes our plans don't quite work out, and we have to make changes and even move locations around until they fit perfectly. For example, we decided to change the purpose of this room, which was meant to be the library, into an entirely different one that made more sense with its surroundings.

Let us share some of the feedback the art team has had for such a task, showing you a bit of the process for its making!:

🔼Now the library has it's own space in one of the outer and more isolated House towers. 

   Once we've chosen the right angle, elements and overall looks, we move to sketch ingon top and add values to try out the backgrounds solo, with one, two and with three characters simultaneously on screen, ensuring that we cover all possible scenarios and closeups for those moments. 😉

Following the previous idea, we make each location bigger than needed, to have room for all possible camera movements the scene will require:

Aaand, once this one is sorted out, we move to the next one, until we have all of them ready and ready for painting!! 🤩

Yet don't think we have only been busy painting backgrounds; we keep developing in different areas too... 🍈🍈👀
