Chapter 39: Title

Enel looked at them.

“Impudence!”

“Yahahaha! You are going to eliminate me?... I wouldn’t expect less from the survivors of this game, however… do you know who you are talking to?. You don't seem to understand what a God is.”

Enel moved his gaze to Gan Fall “The old man fighting for the prosperity of Skypiea.”

He then looked at Wiper and Laki. “The warriors fighting to return to their homeland.”

Finally, He looked at Zoro, Vivi, and Robin. “And the pirates from the blue sea trying to steal the gold.”

“This world is filled with so many lost lambs.  Even the country itself has greatly sinned.”

Gan Fall was losing his patience with Enel's charade. “Instead of talking nonsense. Tell me what you seek to accomplish here. And where are my militia member being held captive? ”

Enel didn’t seem angry at the interruption, He just saw Gan Fall like something insignificant, not worth getting angry about. “I merely wish to return.”

“Return?” The old man didn't understand. Enel came a few years back from a different Sky island. Was He planning on returning there?

“Yes, return. To the place where I should be. On the Sky island where I was born, people said that God lives there. They call it ‘Fairy Vearth’ and there is a limitless amount of earth there. The ideal world I seek! What I deserve to have!”

Vivi wondered why no one has suggested Enel just go down to the surface if what He wanted was earth, but there is no way she is going to be one to say it.

‘No…Enel needs to die here, If anything, for my peace of mind. The last thing I need is this sicko going around the Grand Line.’

Enel continued his discourse.

“This Gods island…this puny piece of earth is nothing, yet you fought for centuries to control it!. Do you understand? the reason you fight is actually more philosophical. Think about it…not a cloud but born of the sky, not a bird but lives in the sky.”

Those who were starting to understand where Enel was going with this, started to feel goosebumps.

“This country in the sky defies all laws of nature!, earth, men, and God, all have a place where they belong!”

“You can't!” Exclaimed Gan Fall, sweat falling across his face.

“What do you mean, I can't?. I am doing what God should do. I'm sending you all where you belong, below the sky!”

“What?!” Wiper clenched his teeth.

“You want to destroy this country!” Gan Fall said.

“It is the law of nature…” Was Enel answer.

“Don’t think so highly of yourself, Enel! ‘God’ is merely a title given to the leader of this country, nothing more” Gan Fall said.

“That was before I became the God.” Enel smiled.

“The people of this world don’t need a God!” Yelled Gan Fall.

“Yahahaha!, Ex-God Gan Fall. You asked me before about your militia…six years ago they lost against my Holy Soldiers and became my captives. Your six hundred followers have finished their assignment this morning. Like I said earlier…right now, the only people still standing on this island are unfortunately just the eight of us.”

Gan Fall seemed to have completely lost the color on his face as He heard the news.

“You!!”

Enel chuckled. “I didn’t want to do it. But after I told them my plan, they all went berserk on me.”

“Their families on Angel Island…” The old man was crestfallen.

“Oh?, that’s right, their families will need burials.” Mocked Enel.

“You fiend!” Gan Fall charged at Enel with his spear in hand.

Enel laughed as He moved out of the way of Gan Fall's lunge.

“Ten million”

Lighting started to appear on Enel’s hand.

“Twenty million”

His finger extended and pointed at Gan Fall

“Thirty million volts…VARI”

Lightning impacted the old man, his cloak burned, hir armor turned black and his eyes lost their life as He fell down.

“Old knight!” Yelled Nami.

“Old man…” Whispered Wiper.

“Gan Fall. In this world, there is a God…ME!” Exclaimed Enel.

“That devil fruit!” Zoro was shocked at the power demonstration.

“Most likely the lighting logia ‘Goro Goro no mi’. One of the invincible powers.”

Vivi wanted to cry.

‘Invincible my ass!. I have a logia too  and have been struggling all this time!...maybe my fruit was defective…’

Enel seemed to have realized something at that moment and seemed very displeased.

“It looks like the time of my prediction is up…but there are still seven people here, two more than I predicted. This can't be allowed!”

Enel turned his gaze towards Wiper and Laki.

“Zoro, Robin, I need you to do something. They turned to look at her.

“Luffy is still trapped inside that snake. You need to open its mouth and get him out as fast as you can. He may be the only one who can beat Enel.”

Zoro frowned. “What are you going to do?”

“Buy you some time but don’t expect much. You need to hurry.” Said Vivi.

Robin gave Vivi a cryptical look but then nodded.

“Very well, Princess. Let's go with that.”

Vivi started moving to where Wiper was.

‘Attacking him with water would be tricky, if I time it wrong, the attack will backfire and I will be the one taking damage instead. If only I can get my hands on Wiper's secret weapon…’

“Laki!, stand behind me !” Wiper commanded. He aimed his weapon at Enel.

“Burn bazooka!!“

“Lightning flash!” Enel turned into lightning and moved instantly behind Laki.

“Damm it! Get out of there!” Cursed Wiper.

Laki turned around and aimed her rifle at Enel’s face before taking her show.

The bullet went through Enel’s head but He just smiled.

“Resistance is futile.”

Enel pointed his finger at Laki.

“Ten million…”

“Water blast!” A stream of water hit Enel's back, sending Him tumbling to the ground.
