When will spartan learn, we love azula BECAUSE she’s mean💀thanks for the reaction guys

So much Mai slander 😢

Anonymous

I really don’t like Mai either. I think her and Zuko are terrible for each other it’s so toxic 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Nick22

Seeing this episode always makes me think about Azula. Until now, she always fits right into the war aspect of the show, but now we see her approach everyday things like it's war as well. Like how she literally dismissed the others before the volleyball game like they were discussing tactics for the war. And seeing that always reminds me that Azula is the younger sibling and only 14 years old. We have seen that her father kept her around and focused more on her than on Zuko. And through her father, she probably only learnt to think in tactics – and the more I see of her, the more I believe that most of her negative personality traits are a result of her father raising her. She never got to have a real childhood, and he always gave her the feeling of being superior to others because she was powerful and a prodigy – even in comparison to her brother. I don't blame her for thinking she is more important than others, just because that's what she was raised to believe.

Idk what ya'll smoking but despite the fact that Mai is an exasperated goth girl she's a ride-or-die gangsta down ass bish who does not tolerate slander of her man, gives him the business when he's talking out of pocket, and trusts in him despite his ignorance. For those who say they are toxic...yeh bruv...they're spoiled teenagers of the 1% of the 1% in the Japanese-Confucian Weimarch Republic. Considering all of that, they're practically saints.

ADHDubz

i remember it took a couple watches for me to finally start enjoying Mai or atleast understanding her character so I can see why they're not very fond of her at the moment. I wasn't either when i first watched it.

YounesCuppino

Love how everytime you guys see Azula, u guys roll ur eyes. Dont be afraid to show that u dont like a certain character. Avatar fans love to hate on react channels cause they think every character needs to be liked or you need to see it it differently, completely forgetting they probably seen the show so many times and seen new things or their opinions changed, while this is your first time watching it.

Munir

A good character is one that prompts a strong reaction, positive or negative. I don't think anyone can deny Azula does that. Also she makes the other villains look like jokes...

Anonymous

Agree 100%. I’m glad all the negativity from people hasn’t turned them away from their series. It’s a masterpiece. But you can still dislike characters and acknowledge that!

YounesCuppino

Yep. I remember Blind Wave got it cause they didnt like Azula and another channel, forgot their name, but they got hate cause they didnt like alot of the characters. So stupid.

Munir

I don't personally have any issue with Mai, but her relationship with Zuko wasn't handled the best. She was shown to have a crush on him when they were younger, but it's just weird to go from 2 seasons of Zuko being a loner then time-skipping to them in a relationship.

Christopher

We stand with Mai

Anonymous

Holy shit we're getting Korra???!! Fucking hyped!!

Anonymous

Exactly! I love her the same way I love Regina George from Mean Girls. She’s so good at being ruthless and manipulative!

Anonymous

I think you guys are missing out on some of the humor behind Mai and Azula. Azula’s ruthlessness playing out in normal settings/scenarios is hilarious because it’s absurdly out of place. And Mai and Zuko are portraying a realistic goth teenage couple. It’s not the healthiest, but teenage relationships are never mature and that’s what makes them so funny to watch.

Anonymous

Is it a spoiler to let them know that Sokkas sword is just a sword? 😂🤣 Let me know if I need to delete this lol

Anonymous

This is my episode of Avatar. It makes all of the "antagonists" feel humanized. I like you didn't get Mai until this episode and then I understood. It made me like all 4 of them. Azula was hilarious not understanding social norms

Max Mustermann

I completely understand disliking May's and Zuko's relationship, or even disliking May as an individual, but shitting on her the entire episode while Zuko was the one being a total dick (getting super jealus, angry and controlling of her) seemed kinda strange

Jonathanese

You two must have timed your shows to have 2 episodes of ancient boobs back-to-back. 6 boobs in total. Probably 300 or so years between them.

Nate Terry

LOL. Azula is like Joffrey. or maybe another child of Cersei who has her vindictiveness, but takes Tywin's cool logic. If Azula was in Game of thrones, she would definitely know how to play the game of thrones...probably would've killed Joffrey for the Iron throne. HAHA

spartanandpudgey

Zuko is no doubt Angry, but May is inconsiderate, blunt and quite selfish which also makes him feel unloved and triggers his anger quite often. that isn't to say Zuko holds no responsibility for his own anger, but i suppose from our personal life experience we connect with Zuko's position more.

Jackson Natoli

Looking forward to your next reaction to the next episode personally one of my favourites!

Je_Maraj

I'm kinda with y'all on Mai and Zuko lol. I don't like them together

Anonymous

They say in the beginning that it's gonna be emotional when they finish ATLA even though they still have Korra some time down the road

Martin-ESP

Haven't really seen such distain for the antagonist characters. I mean, yeah the antagonists have shit attitude but to roll your eyes just for just being on screen (by the way everyone has the right to have their own point of views on characters - I just haven't seen it to this level from other reactors, which is cool to see other perspectives) I love that ATLA has well written antagonists and protagonists that makes you understand everyone's point of view (for the most part).

ADHDubz

how is that a good thing? Korra is so bad bro. It's NOTHING like ATLA or anywhere near as good.

Anonymous

i think this and episode 6 were my favorites as a kid lol

Franky E

Why are Korra haters so vocal, like just chill out and let people enjoy it lmao

Franky E

Protect goth girls at all cost

Anonymous

quite an interesting episode this, humanise the azula gang a bit

ken

First season is pretty good so I’ll be looking forward to that but I’m not watching the rest

Emi

i actually love how they dislike mai and zuko together. they’re not a good couple lol

Anonymous

I also enjoyed the second book because of the lore and the third is a straight banger. Real ATLA fans enjoy everything about the Avatar universe and appreciate Korra for what it is

Anonymous

Korra is completely different. That's what makes it so cool. Ofc ATLA is the GOAT but Korra definitely does some things better then ATLA, like the fights. Don't get me wrong I live rhe animation from ATLA and all the fights but Korra just gives it this more realistic boxing influenced vibe that I really dig. And the fact that all the characters are a bit older makes it so that the emotional moments sometimes hit different. Not saying is better then ATLA but there is no way you can say Korra is bad.

Anonymous

I always loved the interpretation that Azula coming to get Zuko away from the house shows she cares, deep *deep* down. Or at least, she can acknowledge their abusive childhoods.

SuddenImpulse

@Connor The creators of ATLA have said they strongly disagree with this mentality among the fanbase, and even made a statement at a ComicCon event thing once about it. I have never understood why people get so worked up over it. Some people like ATLA better, some people like LoK better, and thats fine. They are somewhat different types of shows focusing on different things.
