Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

  • Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

  • Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

  • Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

  • HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

  • Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

  • Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

lmaooo I love when you leave in Pudgeys laugh, because I already KNOW that was your tenth take, and you're just saying fuck it, I'm not doing anymore 😂

Katie Thomas

The shaky can and the sound editing throughout really put you in it with them in ways that acting and costumes alone couldn’t. This whole project was a massive team effort and obviously it paid off it y’all were so immersed

One thing I always liked about this series is the scatteredness of all the different companies. Like, you train for quite some time with the same company. Maybe even train for a specific purpose. And then you enter the warzone and everything just goes totally different than planned. Suddenly you are (temporarily) part of a different company and doing totally different things 😅

Dani

the longer the intro went on, the more i giggled

I loved this episode. It felt like being there. It is so risky just jumping out of a plane in general. You really don't know exactly how you are going to land, you may land fine live, but can break a leg or a foot. Then to end up getting fired at while you are trying to jump in the middle of poor visibility and not really knowing where you are. Very scary. It must be so hard to see the guy you may have known from down the street on the enemies side. Very surreal I too loved the camera. It was so well done. Between this and Season 3 Ep 4 of Peaky, I am wiped. Time for early bed.

The guns they destroyed were killing and maiming the soldiers landing on D- Day so Easy Company saved many lives that day

You may already know this, but the men of easy company (aside from commentary at the beginning of each episode) were consulted heavily to ensure realism. The actual men who were there were able to say "this isn't quite right" or "this is exactly how it felt". Lt. Dick Winters actually showed up on set, but only one time. It was when they were shooting the scene with the men preparing food when Winters popped his head into the back of the truck. The real Dick Winters left the set and never came back, the reason being that the casting director specifically chose actors who resembled the actual men who were there. He said when he put his head in the flap the truck was "full of ghosts, men who had been dead for half a century". Absolutely soul-rending.

I Just want to point out that in this episode Joe Toye survived not 1, but 2 separate grenades going off right next to him without a scratch. The odds of that are astronomical, and knowing this is based on a true story makes it even crazier.

ADHDubz

I think you guys are totally good to skip the intros. I always skip intros lol

Darrell Henry

Agreed. I would say watch it on the final episode just to see how all the scenes tie in but it’s fine to skip it for the other episodes.

Guy-on-Couch

bro...spoilers...why would you mention Winters survived...and before you blow the rest of it don't tell them who is in the beginning of episodes...Jesus smh

tastymctasterson

I do apologize, I didn’t realize spoilers still applied 80 years after the fact but very sorry to anyone affected by this.

Guy-on-Couch

yea you should be sorry you are a moron. clearly it's a spoiler to someone who has no clue about the story....You just wanted to be special by telling them a cool fact about the making of the series..."Look at me I'm so cool I get to tell them about this" you're a goon...and the only reason you get a response like this is because of your condescending reply...

tastymctasterson

I’m sorry for whatever happened to you that prompted you to be so unpleasant to others. Here’s hoping things get better for you. Let’s try to keep it civil and friendly, I think all of us are here to enjoy the content and community. Mistakes happen, that doesn’t entitle you to behave so childishly toward others. Hope your day gets better.

Guy-on-Couch

In my initial response there was not one thing said negatively or anything that would constitute "childish behavior" as you put it. In reality, you couldn't admit you screwed up and instead of doing the right thing you are the one who wrote a childish smart ass response. Trying to be clever...Don't try to act like you were attacked and did nothing to warrant it. You're being a hypocrite

tastymctasterson

If you’d take a moment to read the rules regarding spoilers, you’d know that all comments are screened by mods before S&P see them. And if there was something problematic, the rules say the mods would ask me to edit or delete the comment. S&P decided to heart react to my comment, so I’m curious why you are so upset over a comment that the people who own the channel seem to be fine with. If any mods or S&P asked me to edit or remove the comment for spoilers, I would be happy to comply. I apologized immediately, in response you called me a moron, mocked me and ridiculed me for trying to offer some insight into the production. I’m not going to lower myself and get down in the mud with you. This has always been a kind, inclusive and mature community. As I said before, I’m really sorry for whatever is going on in your life that makes you feel justified in the type of behavior you’re exhibiting. Let’s put this conversation to rest.

NZ Hayley

I’ve watched BoB so many times and every time it’s better than I remembered. Really happy to be watching along again with first time viewers!

David Katula

Skip em all just start at the skip point so its easier to sync

Craig Nickum

Speirs had orders to shoot the prisoners. This was D Day. They had orders to advance destroy to help the beach invasion.

Craig Nickum

The German soldier and Malarkey actually worked across the street from each other but the film makers thought people wouldn't buy that in the story so they made it they lived 100 miles apart.

TeddyBearBonfire

@Guy-on-Couch Guy, this is not a spoiler. Winters is literally the narrating character. Anyone with basic comprehension knows he survived from the offset; it's very rare that a narrating character is not a surviving character, to the point that it's remarkable even in a work of fiction, never mind in a work based closely on reality. And yes, you started off the negative tone with your silly and patronising wording. Get off your high horse with talk of "doing the right thing" and "trying to be clever". You're embarrassing yourself.
