DevLog #34: February Status Update (Patreon)
Content
Hello!
As planned, I've published a new update for Light Fairytale (EA patch #5) early this past month, with an improved field menu, a new orb combination - Lightning2, and more! Here's a few shots:
And I'm currently working on the next update, which will bring French support! Here's a shot:
I'm also working on a huge update, which will add an alternate play-through with Kuroko as the lead! Featuring many alternative events and a few exclusives too! Here's a few shots:
The Steam Early Access is currently a bit past 3 months. If everything goes as planned, the full version of Light Fairytale Episode 1 will be available at around the end of April!
I'll be then working on the console ports for a few weeks, and after that back on PC working on Episode 2 - I'll probably go through Steam Early Access this time again, starting around this December - one year after Episode 1.
I've started learning and using Unity around 5 years ago - with around 3.5 years dedicated to Light Fairytale and 1.5 for Super Night Riders.
The development of Light Fairytale did take a lot of time, due to the crazy ambition for a solo indie project, and the low funding / resources, but it is getting there! Here's a comparison shot between the 2014 early prototype and the 2018 build. This scene is from Episode 2, by the way!
Bonus, here's draft preview of the upcoming official Light Fairytale T-shirt! It will be available early next month in the official goods section: http://neko.works/goods
And that's it for this month!
Again, thank you so much for your support through all these years. See you next time!
