DevLog #33: January Status Update (Patreon)
Content
Hello!
Early this past month, I've contacted Nintendo to join the Switch indie devs program, and I was accepted within 24 hours!
Now, the next step is to purchase the dev-kit and experiment with it a bit - I won't officially say that I support the Switch until I do that - probably after the end of the Steam Early Access campaign of Light Fairytale Episode 1.
Speaking of which, I've released a new update (EA patch #4) for Light Fairytale, that includes a few more events and a new mini-game: Night Riders! Here's a few shots:
And I'm currently working on the next update. Adding even more events, improving the balance and field menu, adding a new skill: "Lightning2", and more! Here's a few shots:
Unfortunately, as I'm now supporting 3 platforms (Windows, Mac and Linux) and and 2 languages (English and Japanese), I can't publish updates as fast as before. Just making the 3 builds and doing some light testing requires around 5 hours each time, not to mention that I need to send the script for the Japanese translation to an outsourcing studio - which requires a minimum amount of new dialogues. So, I will probably pack updates and publish one patch update per month from now on.
And that's it! Thank you so much for your continuous support. See you next time!
