Great reaction and very excited to see next weeks! As to why Jinshi bothers humoring Lakan, I don't remember if its been said explicitly yet exactly how important Lakan is, but its safe to say Lakan is VERY high up in the military and extremely cunning. His word holds a lot of sway. As to who Maomao wants to resurrect, personally I don't think she has any one person in mind. Its more so just a drug that brings someone back from the dead is the holy grail or philosophers stone to Apothecaries. But I could be wrong on that. She might be worried about her dad if i had to speculate. (Dr. Dad, not Bad Dad).
