Hi everybody! I had such a great time visiting California. It was a crazy coincidence, but the big traveling Kubrick exhibit came to San Francisco shortly before my trip. Of course I had to go and it was phenomenal! They didn’t allow video, but I took hundreds of pictures, which will really help for the Kubrick series.

They had tons of original costumes and props. It was really mind-blowing to see some of these in person.

Of course there were tons of notes, drawings, concept art, etc.

Concept art for A Clockwork Orange.

Possible titles for Dr. Strangelove.

Concept art for AI.

Kubrick had an insane amount of notecards catalogued for Napoleon. Each was a different day of his life.

Kubrick's notebook.

I also got two big Kubrick books for my birthday, so a lot more Kubrick vids are on the way!

Thanks so much for your continued support!

Sounds great Tyler! I've wanted to go to it for years now, but being in Australia, I have to wait for it to come here 😂

It's definitely worth the wait! These pics are the tip (of the tip) of the iceberg! I was so surprised that a lot of this stuff still existed considering Kubrick had so much stuff destroyed after his productions were completed.

Wow! I had no idea there was a Kubrick exhibit. How do you find the tour dates?

cinematyler

It's in SF until October 30th and then it goes to Mexico until March. <a href="http://www.stanleykubrick.de/en/ausstellungstour-exhibition-on-tour/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.stanleykubrick.de/en/ausstellungstour-exhibition-on-tour/</a>

Thanks for the pictures. It looks incredible! I'm glad you got to go for me. Those two blue dresses...

Those dresses were really creepy to stand in front of! I took a bunch of pics of all the notes and pre-production materials (there was almost too much info to comprehend, hehe). Definitely going to comb through and incorporate as much of the info into new videos. Glad you liked the pics!
