GW359 J1 League Predicted Lineup Report (Patreon)
Content
Intro
In a few hours time, we have the Kashiwa Reysol vs Urawa game! Kashiwa have been struggling and the managers position is at risk
This is one of the 4 games being streamed on the J League international channel which can be found here
Tomorrow we have the remaining 8 games which count for this GW on Sorare:
Predicted Lineups
These can also be found on Playsharper website here
Important to note the %s used here and where they are not above 75% it is because I feel there is some risk involved. My main aim with these is to show where risk/potential DNPs are lurking.
I base these %s on info I read from various sources including comments from the manager and reading a lot of local Japanese news coverage/message boards.
These are my own opinion of the situation at each team. I try to be as neutral as possible but we all have biases :) So always do your own research when making picks!
Yokohama FC vs Fukuoka
Notes
- Nagai is confirmed to be injured and will be unavailable until mid May
- Brodersen is in training with a head guard. As he hasnt been in a squad yet I am cautious with him starting and have Ichikawa starting
- YFC are in bad form and we could see other changes esp in defence
Notes
- Fukuoka have been relatively consistent with their player and i see limited reason to change
- Tatsuya Tanaka and Konno are the main players pushing for starts though I see them on the bench here
- Nagaishi should continue in nets too as no indication of a any changes yet
Odds
Prediction
YFC have been poor especially in defence. Fukuoka have surprised me this season with their results and I see them winning this game
YFC 1 - 2 Fukuoka
Niigata vs Nagoya Grampus
Notes
- Takahiro Ko missed the last game but is back in training
- Deng played for Australia on the 29th and is a doubt to start this game Chiba was injured a couple of games ago and his condition unknown. We could see a squad player full in
Notes
- Izumi missed the last game with a slight injury but is in full training and should be fine to play
- Nogami has been doing well so I see him continuing at the expense of Maruyama.
Odds
Prediction
Both teams have started the season very well and doing much better than predictions. I see a draw being the likely outcomes with 0-0 also a possibility as Nagoya are defending very well in particular.
Niigata 1 - Nagoya 1
Kyoto vs Kobe
Notes
- Kawasaki and Yamada were with the u21s. They returned to Japan earlier this week but I havent seen them in training yet. I have reduced their %s for this reason
- Outside this, I see Kyoto lining up similar to their last league game.
Notes
- Honda seen in training and looks fit to play
- Iniesta played in the league cup, I see him making the bench here
- Thuler also close to a return. When he is fit, he will be 1st choice CB with one of Yamakawa and Honda challenging Hatsuses wingback spot.
Odds
Prediction
Both teams are in great form. Kobe have been excellent so far, especially with game management. If Thuler is not available, there CBs may well struggle with the physical presence of Patric who has been bullying defences this season. Overall I see Kobe winning in a tight game.
Kyoto 0-1 Kobe
Kashima vs Hiroshima
- Pituca is suspended for this game. At the same time Sano is returning from his suspension and slots back in
- I see either Doi or Matsumura playing in midfield alongside Higuchi
Notes
- Sotiriu picked up an injury in the run to the last game, forcing a last minute change to the lineup and Higashi playing in midfield with Shichi as LWB.
- I see this being the more likely formation for this game. Hiroshima have been mixing things up more this season and changing tactics/formations for mos games.
Odds
Prediction
Another matchup which is evenly matched especially at Antlers home. Hiroshima havent fully got going this season though there have been glimpses of their quality in each game. I think they will win this game as Antlers will miss Pitucas presence in midfield.
Kashima 1- 2 Hiroshima
Shonan vs Gamba Osaka
Notes
- Hata withdrew from the u21 team due to injury. I havent seen him in training so he is unlikely to feature for this game.
- Tachi returned in the league cup game and is fine to play here
- Hiraoka played with the u21s and ive not seen him in training. Theres also been a transfer rumour about him to europe recently
Notes
- Jebali is in training and looks ready to challenge Suzuki for a starting spot
- Usami seen in training. Ive read conflicting info if hes ready to start here.
- Lavi was on international duty and picked up a knock. I see him being rested for this game.
- Kwon Kyung Won seen in training. This feels too early for him to start.
- I have seen mixed views on who will start in the keeper spot. I see Tani as slight favourite for this game.
Odds
Prediction
Usamis fitness is key to Gambas chances not just for this game but their season. At the moment, I have it more likely he starts from the bench and Gamba have been poor in defence so I can see Shonan being able to punish and beat Gamba
Shonan 2- 1 Gamba Osaka
Sagan Tosu vs FC Tokyo
Notes
- Honda withdrew from u21 international duty with injury. I havent seen him in training so he is a risk for this game
- Naganuma returns from suspension
- Nishikawa was on international duty and again why the % is lower than normal
- Togashi went off injured a couple of weeks ago and without training pics, is a doubt for this game.
Notes
- Kashif is out for this game after picking up an injury on international duty. Its suggested it will take 1 month to recover
- Morishige vs Trevisan at the back is a coinflip for me. Both have their merits and though I am huge fan of Morishige, Trevisan has been performing well. FC Tokyo played 3 CBs last week though this was the first time ive seen this so currently feel it was a one off
- Matsuki will be back in midfield and though Perotti scored twice in the league cup, I see Diego O relatively sage in the striker role.
Odds
Prediction
FC Tokyo have impressed me with their attacking ability. With Matsuki back, I expect them to win this game relatively comfortably.
Sagan Tosu 1- 3 FC Tokyo
Cerezo Osaka vs Yokohama FM
Notes
- Harakawa is back in training though this game is too early for him.
- I see Kato continuing upfront as I feel that he suits this formation with Kagawa behind
- Ceara, Uejo and Kitano all vying for spot. I can see one of them playing on the left side
- KJH fractured his nose in the league cup game. He had surgery and has said hes fine to play with a mask (has been training with it on)
Notes
- Tsunoda in full training, there is still some pain as of training on Wednesday so he may well be rested with Eduardo coming in.
- Koike went off in training with a knee injury. Matsubara also has an injury so despite not convincing me at RB, Kamijima is the most likely to play
- Nishimura played for Japan in the internationals but is back in full training and looks ready to play.
- Ichimori has done much better in the last couple of games and his spot at number 1 looks more secure.
Odds
Prediction
Cerezo have been improving and YFM have looked more vulnerable in recent games. I see Cerezo having a chance to cause an upset esp as the home side
Cerezo Osaka 2 - 1 YFM
Sapporo vs Kawasaki Frontale
Notes
- Asano, Aoki, Fernandes, Komai and Gun Hee all seen in training. They will be pushing for starts here
- This gives the manager more choices. I see it difficult to pick between Asano and Aoki.
- I think Kobayashii and Ogashiwa will play as they have been impressing in the last couple of games in particular.
Notes
- Chanathip played in the internationals, he is back in training as of yesterday & I feel this game will be too soon for him
- Kurumaya and Damian in full training, I see them starting from the bench
- Wakizaka has been struggling with his performances. His spot in the team is at risk
Odds
Prediction
Sapporo have started to play much better after a shaky start. Ogashiwa being back fit has been key to this. Kawasaki Frontale are performing well below levels of recent seasons though with some players returning from injury, I can see them improving here.
Sapporo 1 - 1 Kawasaki Frontale
Finish
I hope found this useful!
As always these are just my own views on the situation based on research for each team. With players returning from international duty, there are a number of question marks on players fitness.
I will be updating the Discord Channel with any info I see that could prove useful all the way to deadline, so keep a look out for that

Good luck!
